AriannaParticipantThose whose cycle is in sync, have you noticed anything different in terms of how you experience lunar transits vs when it’s out of sync?
Disclaimer, I’m a heterosexual male, curious on behalf of my gf, who doesn’t believe in astrology 🤷♂️

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmI’ve heard that women are more fertile if their cycle matches the phase of the moon in their natal chart. It is also common for menstruation to align with the full or new moon and ovulation vice versa.

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmHello. Generally people say that the period should start during the full moon, since its releasing energy. However, my witchy friend told me, actually the ovulation should happen during the full moon, since that is when everyone is agitated, excited, bit more animalistic and instinctive, roaming wild woods on a hunt type of energy (also, easily seen in nature, animals, water tides, etc, this is science). that would make the period cycle during new moon, which is considered beginnings cycle, but it is also as powerful if not more powerful than the full moon for both clearing and setting new intensions, starting a new cycle. so it would make sense to be physically grounded (I find period very grounding and sensual, great time for contemplations and self).
For instance, balsamic or waning crescent moon is considered the best time for doing clearing rituals, shadow work, healing, etc. that is the moon phase right before the new moon, which would also make sense for period. And then, when emotions and all run high during the full moon, you are ovulating and wild in sync with nature. kinda made sense to me too in this way more than during full moon.
Funnily, my period immediately cycled up to the new moon after my friend told me this, my ovaries are total pussies, cycle up to everyone and everything 😀
just a version of theories. also curious about other interpretations.

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmTo me the new moon being a “new beginning” aligns pretty well with menstruation also being the beginning of the next cycle. Shedding old things (in this case uterine lining) to grow something new. And the full moon being the fruition of the moon cycle and correlating with ovulation, the fruition of the menstrual cycle.

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmCommenting on this cause I’m also curious about this topic. There was a time when three or four of us in a spiritual group that I belong to got our period at the same time on a new moon. It was new moon in aries so the energy was really crazy and I think I got really productive all of a sudden. I’m not sure what astrological significance it has cause all I can think about is how amazing this coincidence was. Lunar cycles last for about 29.5 days while menstruation cycles usually last for 28 days so I guess this similarity is one of the possible explanations of the synchronization?

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmOddly enough, mine started last night and I believe we have a full moon today? Full moons and new moons make me crazy though, I get extremely depressed and emotional. Like all my emotions come to the surface. I think the last new moon was in Cancer, and of course it’s my damn lunar return and it was my most miserable couple days. So bad I almost called my therapist to put me in the ward 🙃

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmEven further is the overall fertility cycle. For example, my mom and my sister and I all have the same moon sign, Taurus, meaning that my grandmother gave birth under the same moon as my mom (who gave birth under this moon twice).

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmI’m not sure but my menstrual cycle is only 24-26 days so it never stays aligned with the lunar cycle. I used to bleed with the full moon but now I ovulate with the full moon. Look up red moon cycles vs white moon cycles. I’ve read that a woman who ovulates with the full moon and bleeds with the new moon is in a “white moon cycle” and in a fertile/motherhood phase of life. Not sure if this is true, but as my cycle has switched from “red” to “white” I have noticed a stronger urge to grow my family, and I’m getting more readings and synchronicities that say I will get pregnant this year. I’m not actually trying, though, so we’ll see about that lol

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmI try to stay in tune with the moon. I use moons cycles and signs in my garden every day.. I take a bath on Mondays to honor the moon. I’ve been bleeding on the full moon for years. I’ve never had my period sync with anyone else. The women I’m around usually sync with me especially if we see each other a few times a week.

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmThe moon singularly has a great influence over a woman’s menses, for the same reasons it controls the tide. Where the moon is located (house/sign) tends to produce a decided emotional effect on women when they are menstruating, particularly when it’s passing through transits present at birth, or intersecting with influential planets and aspects of their own individual ephemeris.

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmI ovulate during the new moon and menstruated through the full moon, without fail.
I know this is contrary to the mythology cited by other redditors, but it’s my experience.

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmI honestly think this is a myth, if you follow the days between new and full, it’s slightly less than between new to new. I have been tracking my cycle for quite a while and notice it syncs to the moon sign more so than to the specific phase it’s in.

GuestSeptember 17, 2021 at 8:37 pmI ovulate during the new moon and have my period during the full moon. I am also very fertile if that matters.
Edit: I was born a couple of days after the new moon, (waxing)
