As per title, (and only mediums with experience please 🙏), can you group the souls you’ve interacted with in whatever categories, based on whatever you choose? Absolute example guesses on my part, and hopefully I won’t subtly influence you: passed on the other side or not, happy/sad, blue/yellow/pink/etc, chatty/reserved, loud/soft, strong/weak presence, and so on. Thank you.

I don’t really categorize souls, but I do differentiate from spirit categories of how they show themselves to me and where their “source” is.

**”The Residual”** – Energetic imprint, often caused by traumatic events, that get stuck or layered over a physical place. Frequently causes ghost like apparitions to do things on repeat. Usually these kinds of energies can be cleansed over time.

**”The Astral Dead”** – Basically spirits of the dead (people) who haven’t crossed over and remain in the spirit world that most closely resembles the physical world. Sometimes overtime these spirits can change their shape to appear more frightening than they were when they were alive.

**”Crossed-Over Spirits”** – Basically what it sounds like, a spirit of the dead that has crossed over to some other spiritual plane that is not the astral. They can goto various “afterlives” or spirit worlds that are suited for spirits of the dead. IME there many underworlds and overworlds, I personally haven’t experienced the dead going to, or coming from one place.

**”Ancestral Spirit”** – This is a bit confusing as to when a spirit becomes an ancestral spirit, as time works differently in the earth plane, to the spirit plane, but to me it’s what happens after a lot of “soul work”, after a person soul has been “crossed over” for some time relating to the whole examination of life’s lessons and such. People conceptualize ancestral spirits very differently though.

**”Soul Parts”** – Is what it sounds like, it’s part of someone soul. Typically a soul splinters through trauma. This often happens when a person is alive, but if a traumatized person dies, sometimes those soul parts can get stuck in The Residual, and sometimes they can appear like some kind of non-human spirit, usually they are single minded “entities” though, like sadness, illness, depression, anxiety, rage, etc.

**”Shadow Selves”** – Are also a type of soul part, but they fragment when the person is alive and are also “spirits” that try to to re-unite with the person that they fragmented from. Often people who are dealign with unbanishable spirits, are dealing with shadow selves. Shadow Selves, are also negatively aspected, as we push away parts of ourselves we do not like and/or fear, so often people will think they are “demonic” or otherwise negative. *The Short Version: is the way to get rid of a shadow self, is by accepting them back home and working on integration.*

Categorizing non-human souls would be an extensive list based in various ways by spirit “species” type, the spirits health, levels of compatibility with human life/or not, and various levels of danger. Specifically not using ***good/evil*** as those are often quite subjective based on if people are involved or not. Many spirits for example are incompatible with humans, can be dangerous to humans, but in themselves are not evil.

You mean souls of deceased humans only? Or any type of spirit/energy/being?
