This is meant more as a guide and a reference for discussion for those new to mediumship, or those who wonder about dream visitation.
There are so many posts here that I have read here, asking how to receive or to recognize a visitation dream. Some posts ask why the writer has not been visited. Some ask how to receive or to recognize a visitation dream.
I will try to give the basics, as well as, reasons why we do or do not have these visits.
Visitations that are during our conscious day, are the easiest to recognize. The brief visitations are the most common. We see or hear our passed loved one and it is pretty obvious to us, we have seen them.
An example, might be that we walk into the house after work and look across a room and we see that our Grandma is standing in the kitchen. Then grandma waves at us, and, she is gone. Grandma passed away in 2003. it was brief. It was a sort of shock.
We check our blood pressure and we are sober and awake. We check for a fever. Then we accept we may have seen Grandma.I call these visitations the “Hi. Bye” visitation. Grandma was in our thoughts. She showed up. She left without making cookies.
That sort of visitation is brief, visual and may just be to let us know Grandma is around and aware of us.
The next kind of visitation is longer and more interactive. We will be thinking about Grandma. She is standing in the kitchen, either aloud or in our heads, She warns us that Uncle Ted is going to pass away, soon. Grandma is more talkative and we really feel that she is there. She was there.
We check our blood pressure, look at the clock, check our forehead and look at the expiration date on the frozen burrito that we just ate.
Dream visitations are a more gray area.
We have a dream. Grandma has her back to us. she is there but, we sense disapproval or indifference. That is not a visitation dream. We are processing our grief or processing our fears that Grandma knows all about us, now that she has passed, and that she may not approve of that time we said we were going to our best friends house, but, we were really on a dat with someone she did not like. This is not visitation. It is processing that separation, a fear or two, or that distance between living Grandma, deceased Grandma and ourselves.
When they do not act normally in the dream, that is a dream.
I a real visitation dream we meet with Grandma. the conversation is about love and letting us know that she is alright. We feel happy and relieved and Grandma tells us she is fine, but, that she has to go. We feel love and peace and happiness. We wake up.
Another type if real visitation dream is the prophetic one. We are asleep. We meet Grandma. Grandma tells us that Uncle Ted will be passing soon and to get ready. We ask about Grandpa. Grandma says he is there, but not going to join us in the visit. She says to tell your dad that she loves him. We wake up. We call Uncle Ted later, to tell him he is on our mind.
In a true visitation dream, there is no anxiety, no fear, and, no creepy things happen. These dreams are positive in nature and/or informative.
The difficult issue is that souls have free will. Not everyone who passes wants to visit, or can visit. Not every soul wants to send us signs or to visit us in dreams. There is free will there as well as here.
In some cases, a visitation won’t happen because for them to visit would mean opening new wounds for us. It may be that that person is active somewhere on the other side and not able to visit when we want them to visit. It could be that it is time for us to stand on our own and to make our own decisions, to live independently. so, they don’t visit. Some of us never get a visit, or do not want one.
There are many levels and nuances to visitation. How to have one? Ask and wait to see what happens. When we ask the Universe, we can ask the Universe and wait ans see what happens. If it is in our best interests, the Universe listens.
Mediums. What have I missed, that would be helpful to newbies or those wishing to understand dream visits?
