Up until very recently I’ve been a little sceptical about things like Tarot cards and readings. But in the last few weeks I’ve been drawn towards getting a Tarot deck of my own and exploring it. Today my copy of the Everyday Tarot deck arrived (illustrated by Eleanor Frisch with accompanying manual by Brigit Esselmont). It has wonderfully simple yet expressive illustrations in rich gold and purple that are based on the Rider Waite deck, and I immediately fell in love!
Now, don’t get me wrong, I bought this deck because I thought it was pretty. But once I unwrapped it and felt it in my hands I felt a deeper appreciation for the cards. I went through the deck, comparing meanings to the cards and as I held them I felt a kind of energy flowing between myself and the cards. Safe to say I am well and truly converted, and I can’t wait to harness the power of the Tarot to give some meaning back to my life!
I did a quick three card spread to ask what my annual work goals should reflect this year, to compare it to what goals I have already drafted. For the first time ever I had no trouble writing my goals and felt passionate about what I was trying to achieve. I was absolutely astonished when 2/3 of my cards were Wands, reflecting my passionate approach to my goals this year!
Sorry for the long post, I’m just so excited and awe-inspired by these cards and I can’t wait to learn more through this community! ❤️
