Hey this post is for me!

– Are there universal basics and if so what are they? I’ve heard of the rule of three, grounding, and centering, but not sure if that’s always a thing or if only certain people use these. I’ve heard of the idea that magic is energy and everything has energy, and you can redirect it thus using magic?
– On that note, where do I start? Are there books, online resources, etc I can look into that are trustworthy? Where can I find easy spells/rituals for common use, to get a feel for magic?
– How do you deal with the ever-present doubt that it’s all fake, or that the specific things you think you know are fake? How do you differentiate?
– What _are_ familiars? I’ve done a guided meditation to find my spirit guide, is it a similar thing? Or are familiars actual animals, or some overlap between the two? What is their function and how do I find my familiar? Should I try to?

Sorry that’s a lot of questions. I’ve been very interested in this for a while with very little ways of (or time to for) learning about it!

Are there any books/articles/podcasts you recommend to get started? I’m not really a trial-and-error/learn-as-I-go type, and when I become interested in something, I love to learn more about it by getting a solid idea of the history and the range of perspectives that already exist by diving into theory. The problem is that I don’t really know where to start my theory dive into witchcraft.

Been wanting to buy a tarot deck for a bit
, and now have the funds to do so but don’t know what are good beginner decks.

Another thing I wanted to do for a bit is dye my hair, but I honestly have zero idea where to start on that, or most things involving hair really. For reference, dark brown is natural color (same for eyes, skin is white but not pale if that makes sense)

Finally, a place someone who semi-recently realize they trans can get a simple black dress.
