Keep a journal! I bought a new one and dedicated one page spread to each card. I keep my personal notes on the meanings there, write down my favorite spreads, trends I notice, etc.

As someone already suggested keeping a journal is a great idea!
Study groups are helpful if you can find one.
Daily readings! Draw a card a day! I can’t emphasize enough how useful this is for familiarizing yourself with the energy of each card and how it reveals itself to you, personally. Even though all experienced readers have an understanding of each card’s fundamental meaning, we each have nuanced interpretations of it. Drawing a card a day (for a long time), then watching to see how that card’s energy unfolds throughout the day’s events, will help you understand what it represents for you when you see it in a reading.
