Black Star by David Bowie (spirit using music to communicate)

One night last spring I was laying in bed half asleep and felt this powerful masculine presence hovering over me. I heard this thought being placed in my head about listening to the song Black Star. I don’t know whether going to a music sub would be more helpful but I strongly feel that this spirit was using the song to try and tell me about himself. Is anyone familiar with this song or what it means? I tried listening to the music myself but I find it confusing.

If you aren’t very familiar with the song or album, Blackstar was Bowie’s last record that he made while he knew he was dying. One of the most utterly transcendent musical creations I’ve ever heard – full of loss, wry self-awareness, gentle humour, pain, sadness, and with one foot already on the other side. It’s always been an extremely mystical experience for me.

The whole album is called Blackstar so maybe it meant to listen to the entire album?

I’ve wondered at the occult meaning to the album too so I’m glad you mentioned it. I’m going to research it too.

Just so you know David Bowie had a lifelong and very deep interest in UFO’s. Like very serious. Before he was famous as a teenager in England he self published a UFO magazine. There is a very serious wing of the UFO community that has put together consciousness and the UFO phenomenon. Many experiences report psychic phenomenon along with the physical. Things like telepathy and orecognition are often reported in the most well researched cases by the primary investigators. This is what has divided the UFO community for a very long time – what material science calls the “woo” factor. However research now by Gary Nolan (PhD) indicate that the brains of those who see UFO’s/Aliens are very much like the brains of those who are experience other anomalous phenomenon (hint: mediums). There are also people who have gone through past life regression that have reported they have been in non-human intelligent form that was NOT on earth. This is not at all meant to scare you – it’s kind of wonderful in a way.
