I’m brand new here, so please forgive me if this has been asked and answered in the past. If a baby isn’t born naturally, but born during a scheduled C section, does it still have a valid identification with its astrological sign?

Absolutely. The moment the baby draws breath is the moment of the natal chart.

Absolutely. The kind of birth doesn’t matter. It’s the time of birth that’s all. r/bornwithoutboundaries

The moment you were born was meant to happen, no matter the circumstances. So if you were born by C-section that is what was destined for you, so use the identification that you were born with.

I picked my daughter’s birth because my son was a difficult C-section and I had no choice with my daughter. It’s around Christmas time, and at the time, I knew nothing about Sagittarius but plenty about Capricorns, so I chose 12/23. She was born 1° 23′ with a rising Capricorn at 2° 23′. I had no choice in the matter and fully believe that.

…absolutely yes. I was 2.5 weeks late and my mother was in labor for 23 hours before they decided on an emergency c section. My natal Mercury in Scorpio is in rx in 10H right on top of my sun, MC, mars, and pluto, as is my Saturn in rx in my 1H. It makes hauntingly perfect sense.

My twins were very early, they are absolutely Aquarius babies instead of Pisces, and all
The rest of their charts falls into place. I was early too, perfectly on the cusp of Pisces and Aries. Too emotional and sensitive to be a full-blown Aries, could use some of that fire sometimes. 🥹 all cesarean births.

I am a c-section baby born 2 weeks early. Both my kids were c-section babies, one before her due date and one after by 11 days.

Story for you, my 2nd was scheduled for 9:30am. I got to the hospital when the scheduler told me to and the staff was all saying I was really early and asking why. They ended up starting my cesarean at 9am. My daughter came out not breathing and blue at 9:15 and went straight to NICU. She has Pluto a few degrees from her ascendant. If I fast forward her birth to 9:45 she has Pluto on her ascendant to the minute and I’m honestly not sure she would have made it. She was born when she was supposed to be regardless of how it happened.

Lol. I recently had a baby where I was able to pick the induction date (within one specific week). And all I thought about was, omg…I’m picking how the rest of my child’s life will go

according to an ancient ass astrology book I have, the moment the umbilical cord is cut is considered the true birth time in astrology.

Always thought about this, too. I was born preemie at 6 months and should have been a Cancer. I always thought that was the reason why I’m confused for a water sign but it’s due to my 12 stellium and heavy Neptune aspects.

I was a cesarean. I have moon at zero degrees, in cancer, in tropical / placidus. I know that the moon here is an indication of a baby in regards to cancer energy. And cancers are big baby’s. So if I was born any earlier or any later, I would have been Gemini moon, or a further degree in cancer.

I’m extremely interested as to why my moon is in cancer at 0 degrees.

I would like to be more of a cancer moon though. In Vedic it says Gemini moon.

After my birth I was in the hospital for about a week maybe more. Pretty interesting.

Now I’m just a big baby literally . Give me soft things lol

From what makes sense astrology should start influencing life at conception. Yet, the charts are made so that you look at the birth. But if astrology is real, then birth is just when WE start looking at meaning behind some type of destiny caused by celestial objects.

It would be much better to have a celestial chart from where you are conceived, but that is impractical as you can’t always know the correct date. It’s just silly to think that astrology activates for you specifically after your first breath or something like that.

Besides, the genes stay the same from conception to death. If anyone has a theory on this I’d love to read it
