Can anyone explain Liliths to me? I’m new to the term

I’m sure someone will explain it better than me, but I’ve always understood Lilith to represent the dark side of the moon, the hidden, unseen mysterious nature of ourselves. Some people see it as a bad thing but I think it can also be a good thing. I’ve had it explained to me that the negative traits of that sign often show up as lessons we need to learn. For example, my Lilith is in Aries and I feel that contributes to my impatience and impulsive nature. I have to actively work on those traits. I hope that makes sense!!

It actually doesn’t bear any significance in real astrology. Whoever says otherwise tbh hasn’t done enough research.
