Can I work with mythical creatures?

Doing a pendulum session I contacted a spirit that, through answers, turned out to be a mythical creature from the Greek culture. My knowledge on Helenistic stuff is quite basic, so I have no idea what to do next or even what to ask.

Or it could also be a trickster spirit, but I’m not sure on how to find out, because I don’t know what to ask or if they are answering correctly. Any help?

I don’t know why every single comment here is downvoted. You CAN work with entities that aren’t gods or goddesses. You CAN find out more about the entity and get to know them.

HOWEVER, you don’t sound experienced or educated enough to do that yet. I am not at all saying that to be mean or insulting. A lot of baby witches especially get lured in to working with specific entities and then end up hexed, cursed, exhausted, or drained of all their energy.

The first step to working with anyone, god or not, is research research research. Do your pendulums safely, make sure you do not contact or lure in or invoke any entities without protecting yourself first.

I will say that pendulums specifically are very, very easy to misread or get tricked by someone. I’d recommend doing the same sort of research with other divination tools – runes, tarot, dream magic, etc. the more you research, the better off you’ll be.

Be safe, do your research, prioritize your safety, and you’ll be fine.

You can. I’ve heard good things about DJ Conway having a book or two on how to, but since it’s not my circus, I don’t really know much beyond that.

Don’t buy into the “trickster spirit” trend that’s going around right now. Tricksters teach through mischief, they aren’t malevolent assholes who try and ruin your life. The whole “beware TS’s” thing smacks of the Abrahamic nonsense of all the old gods actually being the devil/demons.

In greek mythos pretty much all mythical beings are derived from some kind god/ goddess/ titan, i dont see why you couldn’t work with them
