For those of you who do know how you looked in a past life/ is it possible?

Based on what I saw, we keep our personality, our way of doing things, if we haven’t changed or learned new things while we are in the spiritual world.

The soul can influence the body to some extension, however, genetics is the clay where things are molded.

On the day people understand that we eventually will live as man, woman, white people, black people, etc, they will end up treating each other better because eventually, they will reincarnate to experience the same kind of life some groups have.

I have different looks from my past lives, but there are some personality similarities. Our DNA does affect our looks and personality, and even if the spirit can “pick” which sequence to use from the mother and father’s DNA, the options are limited. But difference is positive because a lot of the times the soul is looking for a new unique experience that will let it experience life in a different point of view. That said, we do have karmic connections with the people we interacted with in past lives, so it is very probable that we will reborn near them to pay our debts. Souls reincarnating in the same blood lineage is very common. A grandfather might come back as its own grandchild to help his son, which is now his father.

I would imagine we’d learn a lot more experiencing lifetimes in a wide variety of cultures, countries, situations, genders and looks. I believe I was also a white guy in my previous life, but believe I had been a female in the before that, which is likely why I am gay.

In my experience I am a completely different person with a different personality from usually a completely different place in each life I’ve had access to the memories of.

But it’s absolutely possible to also retain the same details but a different life/role in each life

I believe we can to a point. I have heard we can pick our parents so maybe if we are set on a certain eye and hair color, that may be something we can choose. I have always felt like I was red headed and blue eyed, and I am in this life despite both my parents being brunettes. Genetics are funny.

It is possible, but the likelihood is such an unquantifiably small odds that it would take an unbelievable number of universe cycles to obtain the exact same look and ethnicity.

It’s more likely to retain a “gist” of yourself across lives, which in itself is a dense matter.
A soul has many layers of depth that a single life can’t do justice to fully convey, so the next time you’re born, you will most likely exhibit traits and aspects of yourself that weren’t given a chance to fully shine or be tested.

Great question, and one that some often wonder about. Your soul is not of any ethnicity or appearance, your soul is loving, kind, generous, reaches to many people and able to blend with nature and all life that is! Your soul is you, but you are not your colour, nationality, origin, your faith, your soul becomes part of the universal energy that lives on. What is beautiful is that our soul, while on earth is able to get us through the most difficult times, is provides the strength to support us, cheer the biggest cheer and give us the emotions that often help us and somethings challenge each of us to be better. So when we are in spirit, we can decide if we want to help and serve in different ways, we have many choices that allows us to grow! If there is an interest to re-incarnate than that will be our wishes, however consider that the time and circumstances will be completely different so one will never touch the soul and be the person that once was. The soul evolves. Who you were 10 – 20 years ago is not the same as today, and that is the soul evolving, This is not any different to spirit life. Also consider that we have spirit guides and inspirers from the spirit world that work with us from the moment of inception and these individuals have not come back to incarnate.. They stay to be our cheerleaders and inspirers. We have the best inspirers when we feel/listen/know of them…. Personally I do not believe in re-incarnation, and that is only because I have never experienced it. I however I know through various learning experiences about spirit guides and inspirers and the desire to continue to evolve to be the best… What I would work with is your own soul, who your soul is, where your soul and yourself want to go to in this life. Re-incarnation is definitely a belief that can not be tested/ verified for any of us.. Sending many good wishes and blessings in your souls search for answers

I have a lot of similarities from my last life to this one. Same ethnic group but different country of origin though, same gender. I don’t look the same but have said in other comments before that I can see a striking similarity in photos of how I hold my body, my hands, how I stand. I recognize myself in that way. I know that in my last life I felt like I had a nice body but my face wasn’t pretty enough and in this life that feeling is reversed. Does that help answer your question?

Not likely because we’re here to experience and expand that experience and that would be much the same. But it’s all our choice so if you really wanted to why not?

Some similarities can be continued. However, you are a product in your human body and genetics. You can retain personality traits and quirks, fears and aversions allergies, food preferences. You would be encouraged to expand your choices.

I would not think it would allowed to continue to be one certain sex, gender, and/or ethnicity repeatedly. That would tend to hinder soul growth, since we are actively having multiple experiences to understand ourselves and our fellow souls.

We would not learn much, if we were a queen for several lifetimes with unlimited income, or a hermit, repeatedly, or a soldier, or any number of potential life choices.
