Is that something only a priest can do? Are demons just a Christian thing? Where does the concept of demons come from? I’m asking because I’m interested in demonology and I wrote a spell to expel a demon from someone’s body. It goes like this:
“Evil spirit, hear me now. You are intruding into this body. This I will not allow. Leave this body, leave this person. Before your invasion worsens. Let this person go and be free, this is my will. So mote it be.”

Demons pre-date Christianity
The origin of demons would make for a good beginning research topic, you will find plenty of information on Google and/or Wikipedia.

99% of the time a possession is just mental illness. There’s no reason why a God of a different religion would be harassing you. And if you attracted the attention of a demon that was always a demon (like Lilith, for example), well she is known for cot death. Like an illness, she would come in and pass through after taking the infant of the family. The same as an earthquake doesn’t possess you, it just passes with a natural force.

I would find a mentor and focus on learning as much as you can before trying to fuck around with what could be very strong forces. Exorcising demons isn’t for the curious or mildly interested.
