Cardinal zodiac signs: the zodiac middle-ground?

Hopefully this will make sense. Also, please note that this is more about the zodiac sign archetypes, not about the people with that specific sun sign.

I feel like cardinal signs are some sort of middle ground between the fixed and mutable signs of the same element (even if, in theory, it would make more sense for the mutable signs to be the
"middle-ground"). And what I mean by this is that they are sort of "in the middle", characteristic-wise, the other two being the extremities.

🔥 Fire signs: Aries is in the middle between the Leo who loves affection, craves attention, while the Saggittarius is the "free-spirit" who could even feel suffocated by the same things.
The fiery intensity seems to manifest more in the love life of Leo, while for Saggittarius this intensity manifests outside the romantic part, being more factual and being influenced more about the specific circumstances they are in. In the case of Aries, the intensity seems to be directly proportional with their impulsivity, and would manifest equally in both of the cases mentioned earlier.

🌊 Water signs: Pisces seems to be surrounded by more “positive” stuff, also having a more optimistic view on the world, while Scorpio stays more in the “negative”, pessimistic side; Cancer is in the middle between them, they seem to be a perfect blend of the “light and dark”. When it comes to trusting people, Scorpio is more offensive and ready for “attack”; cancer is more on the defenssive side, “hiding” some things for the sake of protection and would only attack if needed, and Pisces is the one who is the most open to other people. After a negative experience, Pisces will ruminate on how they were negatively impacted by it, while Scorpios will ruminate on the impact that the ones who affected them could (or should) have; and cancers kind of do both, equally.

💨 Air signs: Geminis are the “social butterflies” that desire people to like them, and know how to do that, making it seem like they are “mirroring” you, while Aquarians do not want to blend in, they want to stand out, and they do enjoy not mirroring people and in fact being more “different”. Geminis are more “socially” intelligent, aquarians are more academically intelligent. Geminis seem more socially-driven, while aquarians are more individualistic (NOT to be confused with selfish). Libras seem to stand perfectly in the middle: they might mirror you, or they might stand out with their wits and logic. They are equally socially and academically intelligent, and they are driven most by “justice”, literally embodying the “balance” stereotype of their sign.

🍃 Earth signs: Taureans are the “homebodies”: they are very family-oriented. They will not put too much thought in why they love and want to protect you. For them, it is very simple: they either love you, or they don’t. They might not even think too much about what their boundaries are, but will definetly know it when you cross those boundaries and once you do, it’s game over. Once again, as simple as that. Virgos seem the opposite: highly analitical, and will keep doing that with every little thing (NOT to be confused with being judgemental). Capricorns seem to stand exactly in the middle: they will analyse the things when it is the case, but otherwise, they will stand for you just because you are “family”. When it comes to being confrontational, Taureans are more stubborn, in a very simple way and will not lose their time with too many explanations, while Virgos love argumenting and expressing why they are right thanks to their wits; Capricorns, once again, are the perfect blend of the first two.
