Hey guys!
Apart from the obvious indicators of career in astrology such as the MC, the 10H and the ruler of MC/10H, what are some other placements that can help to determine a career?
I have narrowed down the following after lurking on this sub for a while:a) The 2H, as this involves our money and material possessions so can be linked to career? also it’s ruler and planets in it.
b) The 6H, as I’ve read it represents the organisation, and a sense of fulfillment?
The problem is, as a beginner, it gets complicated when we venture deep and study these placements individually. Sometimes an array of possible careers might pop up, but what is the ideal among them remains the question. Connecting the dots melts my brain hehe
I also have one more question: what are careers related to the first house?

Not just a house but I’ve always associated Jupiter with matters of career as well and have found alot of success in readings with that.

The thing about identifying a career in the birth chart is that the houses and planets associated with one’s career are each tackling different facets of a career. The second house focuses on how we manage our money and gain our income. The sixth house is the physical labor that we do. The tenth house is what we’re known for doing in the public or how we’re perceived by the public.
Think about this: Can you be known for doing something other than how you make money? Can you be known for something other than the actual work you do? Can the work you do be separate from the physical labor you do? The answer to all three of these things is yes.
You could make most of your money simply because you married into money (L2 in 7H maybe?), and you could spend your days managing your partner’s money because you went to school for accounting (L6 in 8H). What you’re known for, however, is the great financial advice you give on social media (L10 in 11H). All of these things are indicated in the chart, but not all of them specifically indicate career.
As a personal example, I’m a cancer rising with a day chart. My L2 (Sun) is in the 11H. My L6 (Jupiter, also L9) is in the 11H as well. My L10 however (Mars, also L5) is in the 12H. What I do for a living and how I make my money will likely be tied together, but what I’m known for by the public will have little — if anything — to do with that.
Good rule of thumb: Sometimes things can be linked to a general topic, but not always. Trying to bring everything together when the “togetherness” isn’t clearly indicated can make the brain melting happen.
As for careers related to the 1H, I can think of a few things. The first house deals with the physical body and appearance, as well as our general character. 1H careers would be careers where your physicality is made public, put to work, or otherwise profited off of. People who become the “face” of something, like a brand or a company. People who act as a “greeter” or a first encounter for something. Public figures, news broadcasters, TV personalities, bodybuilders, adult content stars, people who sit in front of a camera for extended periods of time. Just to think of a few.
**EDIT:** Almost forgot, the first morning star after the Sun can also indicate vocation. This is the planet that comes before the sun in zodiacal order (I believe it has to be 15 degrees away or more in order to be valid but don’t quote me on that).

OK so my MC, is in 10 H aquarius, no planets, and it’s ruler saturn is in 6th H. 2nd H again empty gemini, with its ruler in scorpio. What professional career do you think iam in? It turned out to be nothing my charted ever pointed. And iam kinda successful.
Also it’s nothing related to my education.
I have 6H stellium with 4 planets saturn pluto sun moon in libra. -
The only thing I’ve figured out about mine is that I’m most likely going to have jobs in different fields, where I’ll be helping others somehow. I’m too indecisive (Libra Mars + Jupiter in my 2nd), I like to help people, I don’t want a job where I’ll screw people over (Aquarius Saturn in 6th) and I have waaaaaay too many interests to decide on just one (Gemini MH). Also, for an introvert I talk a lot. Lol

1H careers would be those that allow you to be self-employed, work independently, or be the face of something, so I would say influencing, modeling, freelancing, or running a YouTube channel.

What would happen if your 10H includes Sun, Venus, and Jupiter? Is your career/goals and especially life goals indicating to be related or surrounding love?

When we look for cookie cutter answers in astrology we get overwhelmed because they just aren’t there. There isn’t a particular career for everyone with this placement or that placement. Whatever career you choose, your approach to it will be reflective of who you are/how planets align in your chart.
If your chart denotes that you excel at communication, for example, it’s not necessarily ideal that you become a PR person or spokesman. You might like any of the thousands of jobs where good communication is an asset. But the type/style of your communication and environment within which that communication can shine will vary by placement, degrees, aspect, etc for each individual.
A great approach is to know your strengths and decide how you can use those within career areas that interest you. Lets say you have placements that point to education. Do other placements show you’re a better fit for preschool teaching, college lecturing, mentoring, distance learning, writing educational books, overseeing curriculum development, leading seminars, teaching fitness classes, teaching occult subject matter?
It feels complex because it is complex.

I can understand where you’re coming from. Career in astrology can be confusing.
I have a Pisces MC squared to Neptune and that makes it even worse. lol!
There are so many options that entail many things as far as jobs or careers go too.I read to look at the MC, any planets in the 10th house, where the 10th house ruler is, aspects to the planets in the 10th house, aspects to the MC, look at the 2nd house, where the ruler for that sits, the planets in 2nd house, aspects to the planets in the 2nd house or vice versa, and then the 6th house, where the ruler for that sits, the planets in 6th house, aspects to the planets in the 6th house or vice versa.
Also, there’s the oriental or guiding planet you can look at and I guess Jupiter is supposed to display a hidden talent.
Of course there’s your Sun, Moon and Rising sign to factor in as well.

Money follows astrology oddly because money is not flowing on the basis of natural things inherently. In other words career is determined by what you can be recognized for and compensated concerning. Quite a lot of that is artificially derived by the civilization in which you find yourself.

Sorry I’m to busy with other things, but as I thin you guys try to find the answer by jumping to less important things…..the roots is coming from the SIGNS…..you look at Aries who need to start something new or a conflict to get boring situations into action…..or Twins who have to have 10 different things going on all the time….then you look at Cancer and you find a home mouse, who never want to be in public and in Sagittarius you find the journey man. Next you check what planet is in the strongest position by not too wide aspects and in what sign it is and you have the first indication , what could be the possible best job in the life. To get more closer you check from where and what is making the aspects and you get the color on the object. This is what you can do with the SIMPLE Astrological system, but when you use a lot of points, that are added as Castrology into the Astrologic system, as I’m doing, there are more than you even need as indicators , why some career fit into who you are.

this is really interesting. I have mars and Neptune in my 10th. My 6th house has a libra stellium, my Jupiter is in cancer in the 3rd house. My rising is Aries, makes me curious as to what my future career would be.
My career will probably have to do with helping others I’d think, with all those placements. -

I have L2 in 1st house, L6 in 1st house, L10 in 11th house and 1st house. Lol wtf i should to do with my life? I just try to be financially independent. Also I worked on social media, but didn’t work so well.
