Cleansing & Smudging My New Space

I recently survived a suicide attempt two weeks prior to closing on my condo, and my parents have been staying with me since before I moved in. Needless to say, the space does not feel like mine, and there’s a negative energy hanging over me, that’s impacting my relationship with my parents. I want to heal, so that they can leave, and I can have my own space.

My friend sent me smudging spray from Etsy, and I’m waiting for my parents to leave so I can use it. They’re the kind of people who ruin things by trying to help. I’m wondering what other books, rituals, or spells (beginner level) maybe helpful to give my place the clean start that it didn’t get to have.

I was thinking maybe the vernal equinox would be a good time?

You can cleanse a space with sound and dance too. Loud music or a singing bowl work well.
