JessicaParticipantHi
I’m new to tarot. I’ve been practicing by doing readings for myself daily and meditating to feel “drawn” to cards. I get it a little where a certain card pulls me more but, how do you guys “connect” with the Deck more? Thanks xx -

GuestFebruary 8, 2021 at 10:04 amI’m also fairly new, but in my little experience, I’ve had lots of success by grabbing whichever card I grab.
To connect as you’re explaining, I would suggest spending time with the cards, trusting yourself, and meditating. The last one being to practice quieting the mind to sense where you are being guided to.
Happy reading!

It usually take a couple of weeks to feel 100% comfortable and connected with it but since you’re new to tarot it’ll probably take more than that. Practice is important. You can use your deck for meditation and self reflection daily and that way it’ll probably be easier.

My deck is 3 and a half years old now, is the only one I have and is becoming comfortably worn in like a pair of good shoes! I dont have to be doing a reading..I will pull them out to study, or get inspiration for creative work, tell myself the fools journey story and lay the cards..all that stuff helps. -

GuestFebruary 8, 2021 at 10:04 amThere’s nothing magical about tarot cards, so there’s no real “connecting” to be done. They’re just pieces of cardboard after all!
