Considering it’s Halloween and the veil between our world and the spirit world is at its thinnest, I’m hoping to have better luck connecting with my spirit guide or family members who have passed. I have yet to be able to connect with either, so I’m hoping to be able to do so today. Any advice on the best way to do so?

The higher you can ascend (energywise) the easier it is for them to come through. Meditate, put aside your “baggage” if you can, and imagine yourself on a beautiful journey to a special place to meet them. Take your time.
I used to walk along a pier and get in boat, row to an island, walk though a garden and end up in a meadow with a waterfall and a rock spire that I would climb and wait at the top 🙂

It’s about slowing your brain waves down to Alpha state, so meditation is always a good place to start. Make a small altar for your family members, pictures of them, objects that belonged to them, offerings of food or drink they liked in life. In your meditative state just talk to them, out loud or in your mind. For both loved ones and guides you can ask questions and then try to listen for any words, phrases or images/symbols that may pop into your mind. You can also use a method of divination like Tarot to help receive answers if you aren’t getting much. Keep a journal handy and write down anything that does come to mind, even if it feels like your imagination. It can take practice discerning information you receive through your clairsenses but the more you practice the easier it gets. Enjoy!

Why not just assume they’ll be around, and make room for them in your Halloween celebrations? Doesn’t seem like there’s time to do anything more complicated.
