So what if you completely avoid an area of your life? You can’t ignore the first house obviously, because you carry its energy in yourself very personally, but there are houses like 7th for relationships, 6th for work, 10th for your career or goals, you know the ones that represent external circumstances, external events. What if, for example you never get into a relationship, what if you never have a job, what if you never get educated, or what if for example you have a stellium in a specific house and it puts so much weight to that specific area of your life that other ones are getting avoide? What if someome with 12th and 4th house placements would have their life so tied around isolation and their home that they would never experience anything outside of that because of isolation? Or what if someone would be so relationship oriented that they would never actually experience themselves outside of a relationship so some planets would remain unexpressed energies? How would those ignored/avoided planets express themselves then? If all of these energies tendencies that can be found in your chart can be found in your life too then would those blind spots you don’t experience for example be expressed in other houses? Would those energies just find another way to be present? Would they just stay possibilities you never explored or would it just be an expression game of the houses where the avoided eneries/parts of you would express themselves through the house you have the most “weight” on? Oor would the avoided parts can be explained too through a chart because those would be “shadowed” somehow by other planets?

All houses have meaning. When there is no planet in a house (and even if there is, just in a different dimension) we go to the house lord to understand better how it maniffest. So if you have for example, a 7th house in Libra, we look at Venus (sign, position, aspects) to understand how you deal with relationships.

Of course, if you have a stellium in your chart, this would mean the sign and house of the stellium will have a high impact in other areas of your life, because you would end up looking at the stellium to understand more than one area. One could say the positioning of this stellium would act as a dominant topic in life.

This doesnt mean the other areas wont be maniffesting, and I do recommend you look up at the meaning of the houses (because they’re really not that one dimensional; the 10th doesnt speak only of career and goals but of public image and reputation, the 6th isnt only about work but also health and daily routines, 7th isnt only about romantic relationships but other commitments as partnerships, contracts, etc).

I would also say that all areas are always expressing itself (and planets) we feel their influence or not. Never being in a relationship its also a life event and a choice, so its a specific type of expression of your 7th house. The ruler, but also other placements would add more information on why the 7th house is working like that in your case (for example, it could be an expression of saturn in the 7th, or of the ruler of the 7th being in the 12th).

Last but not least, astrology interpretations are More nuance than that, and there is not a single placement that could be interpretated in a single way. For example, someone could indeed have a 7th house ruled by a 12th house placement, and this wouldnt absolutely mean they would remain single. They might enjoy their alone time more, seek for independance in a relationship, even working isolated from their partners, and who knows how many other possible interpretations there could be for this single placement.

Astrology helps you forecast in which direction things might go (so we do know that having a 7th house ruled by a 12th house placement speaks of solitude or confinement at some degree) but the direction itself could be expressed in multiple ways.

Just to serve you as an example, I have quite the 12th house influence in my own chart. Im not single, I have a kid, live with my family, havent been inprisoned, committed to an institution or had my freedom in jeopardy in any way. But I do work from home, I am isolated from my coworkers who are at different cities, I do spend a lot of time alone, I do stay at home a lot, I did had a long distance relationship with my husband at one point and we barely saw each other in person for about 3 years. If I had follow a more “ortodox” interpretation of my own chart, I would have expected much, much worse tbh.

To take the example of the 7th house:

Can you permanently avoid relationships? Romantic, interpersonal, meeting strangers? Can you go your whole life without entering an agreement or signing a contract? Without buying or selling anything?

The majority of houses are not just single things – we only refer to house 7 as being mainly related to romance as that’s the factor of it most people care most strongly about.

To expand on your stellium and 4th house idea – if that person spends their life confined to their home, how did they get that home? At some point they will have entered into a contract of some sort (7th house).

On top of that, all houses are also turned or derived houses. Your 7th house is also your father’s 4th house – so unless he never had a father, somehow, you have a 7th house relationship to someone, no matter how minor.

To put it shortly, I don’t think it’s actually possible to avoid any house or planet at all. They are interlinked.

This is a bit advanced but learn Zodical Releasing and you’ll learn all planets and houses matter.

Nope, Astrology is the blueprint of the life your Soul chose to live. If you walk this life with the knowledge of your chart life is easier to understand and accept. If you ignore it you will still basically follow the blueprint, but as fate instead of purpose or reason. Reason meaning, the reason you chose to come here and live a life. Our Sun sign is not the most important sign to know, (and I have a stellium there), it is however, your challenge. Your Rising sign is the most important because that is your Soul’s choice as to the way you handle this life.
Each house is a gift to help, each Planet is a wise man with knowledge to offer, each aspect is a possible challenge to overcome, and each degree in a sign is like and affirmation for the Soul to aspire to. There’s so much more to it than this bit here but totally worth the effort to understand.
If you’d like, you can type; esoteric astrology to utube search and give it a look.
