Crystals to help enhance connection during reading?

I’ve been thinking into getting crystals and I had a thought earlier that maybe there were some that could help me on my tarot journey and I was wondering if you have any suggestions??

I like to read myself a lot as well as others and would love to have separate crystals for each, I also like to personally do soul work, looking at chakras, shadow, etc

I would SUPER appreciate any advice or experience

Also is there a good place online to buy crystals? The only store around me is about a hour and half out so it’s not necessarily convenient, and I also wanna make sure I’m not getting some random rock ya know

Crystals specifically for tarot could be amethyst for balance and emotional well being, fluorite or moonstone for intuition, tourmaline for protection, selenite for cleansing and clarity, labradorite for accepting challenging suggestions, lapis lazuli for peace.
I like to place certain crystals on cards for manifestation like a tourmalinated quartz for action or rose quartz on relationship cards.

Amethyst has this vibration that resonates very well with every magick purpose, soul, spirituality, chakras… I used to buy it online on Amazon and I always got a real one. After discovering a mineral store, I always go there ????.

I don’t know much about Lapislazuli but I also feel there’s a connection with it and higher states of mind.

There are some reputable sellers on etsy, and on instagram! Just double check they’re from the US. A lot of times if you order from China, they will be glass versions of the crystals.

I would recommend apophyllite, lapis, or moonstone for readings, and kunzite for inner child and self love healing. If you wanted to do higher vibrational work with your guides and angels, celestite and angelite are awesome

Go with your gut!! If you are super drawn to celestite but not lapis, trust that. Or vice versa. But definitely check etsy or search on instagram 🙂

Just remember to clean and charge your crystals frequently! That is SUPER important!!
Be careful with using crystals that haven’t been cleaned, because they hold on to dirty energy and, once that happens, not only they will not protect you, but they will make your energy body dirty!

I always try to use a grounding crystal. But I love using crystals that open the third eye or even the crown chakra. Indigo Gabbro is my favorite one to use for grounding, it also helps with opening the crown chakra.

Sometimes I’ll go with color corresponding the crystal to the chakra I feel might go with my reading. Ive had a great deal of luck with that.

My favorite place for crystals is April from Shivers from the Soul. She has a website, but mostly she does live auctions on Instagram. I’ve bought a bunch of great pieces from her. Her US shipping is reasonable and she’s willing to ship overseas as well. (I’m supposed to be moving to the UK this year so had to ask.)

As far as crystals…. amethyst certainly isn’t bad. Labradorite is a good one too. It’s said to be a stone for enhancing and developing psychic gifts and abilities and general mystical woo woo. (It’s also just a gorgeous stone). Clear Quartz is also good, because it’s just good in general.

Others I’ve heard of being good for this are: Azurite, Lapis, blue apatite, iolite, moonstone, and sodalite.
