Cutting out my love for him [UPDATE]

I made a post a week ago (ish?) Asking for suggestions on how to cut away romantic love for a person but keep the rest of the relationship.

What was decided was a cord cutting ceremony.
It worked! Here is what I did to hone the accuracy as to not cut the entire relationship:

I used very thin sewing thread as the cord to indicate cutting *only* the romantic feelings, and not having a thick enough cord to accidentally cut other feelings surrounding the romance (compassion, endearment, friendship, etc)

I used two ametrine crystals instead of candles to connect the cord. To represent my mental state/our minds so our entire souls won’t be cut, just my romantic thoughts.

I held a rose quartz in my hands and meditated for 5 minutes, telling it that it represents my infatuation NOT platonic love, and that it represents my unhealthy love for this session.
I place it under the cord, in the middle.

I added some other crystals on my alter just to add the charge and good vibes.

I performed this on the new moon, to hone new beginnings

I cut the cord directly over the rose quartz.

It was very painful the night after, I had heartache as if I were going through a breakup. I had nightmares that night and I cried.

But it’s gone now. And he is still one of my best friends. I am relieved, and very happy.
