My heart breaks for you my sister.
I’m from Beirut – I know the terror well. I know that you are going through something most people can never imagine. I know that last night, you laid awake wondering if you would make it another hour or minute. I know that you don’t know what tonight will be like. As rough as all that was, I know what’s coming is worse. I know every bone in your body is telling you to run but you don’t know where or how. I know your heart breaks everytime your cats react to the sounds not knowing what’s happening to them either. I know you’re frantically messaging friends and family, and I know what happens to your chest when someone stops messaging back.
I also know there is nothing I can say that would help. I can pray for you, but it won’t ensure your safety. I can protest, but it won’t be heard by anyone who can stop this. I’m so sorry sister. I’m sorry that at times like this, you are going to feel like the whole world has abandoned you. I know that feeling well too. I’m here if you want to scream. I’m also here if you want to tell me about your cats or your flat or what you think will happen tomorrow. I’m just so so sorry. ❤️

There is panic in the city, exit is prohibited. Even those people who have the opportunity to flee cannot leave the city. In other cities, the situation is the same, tanks entered Kharkov

Dear sisters. I live in Ukraine, the city of Odessa. A few hours ago I was engaged in creativity, and did not think about the bad. But for more than an hour, our entire city has been hearing rocket explosions. We do not know what it is, but apparently it is the beginning of the war. Explosions are heard in all major cities. I’m really scared. I can’t leave the house leaving 5 of my cats here. Please, pray for Ukraine

I live in Moscow. I better speak English here as Russian isn’t your language and I can’t speak Ukrainian, but I’m so painfully sincerely sorry for all of this. I’m so sorry you have to deal with mad delusions of this old piece of shit who started this. I know it’s nothing. I know I can’t help you. But please know that Russian sisters are fucking against it all. We want only the best for you, we don’t want anyone anywhere to suffer. This is pure madness, I can’t imagine what are you going through right now. I can only hope it’ll end as soon as possible and you will be safe. Odessa is a beautiful city, I was there once and I was stunned by it. I hope it won’t change. Stay strong and I’m really really sorry for what he’s done

The only information I can find says that they will be sending in ground troops in the coming hours. I hope your husband gets home soon and you have food to lay low until this all resolves. Thoughts are with you xx
Edit: fill your bath or some buckets with water, have some candles etc.. in case infrastructure goes down for a bit too.
Update: Ukrainian military claiming reports of Russian troops on the ground in Odessa are fake news from Russia aiming to scare Ukrainian citizens. Unfortunately it seems Belarus have now joined Russia.
