Hi everyone! I’ve been reading tarot for a few years and am looking to purchase a new deck. I learned on the Waite-Smith deck and it’s been a favorite of mine. I also have the Fountain Tarot which I LOVE, but I’m looking for something with a more traditional/occult vibe to add to my collection.

I’ve had a look in the resources on the subreddit and did some searching, but haven’t really found any that I’ve been particular called to. I’m looking for something that is a little more deep and vivid than RWS. Maybe something with some guilding, but definitely a more traditional occult-esque feel to them with really detailed imagery and symbolism.

I’ve also been interested in looking on Kickstarter for decks by independent artists, but I’m not really sure to go about looking on there. Does anyone have any experience navigating and finding decks on here?

(Also as a side note I’m planning on purchasing the Thoth tarot as well since I’ve recently felt called to it. I’m looking for a deck to get in addition to this that would help me have a deeper appreciation and connection with the cards.)

Any and all recommendations and resources are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: PS I just came across the Pagan Otherworlds tarot by Linnea Gits and Peter Dunham and am very intrigued.

For imagery and symbolism, you might want to try the Hermetic Tarot deck

I like the Golden traditional tarot. Each card has the gold on it, and the back pattern is same upside or down. But the images are still traditional.
