It was in your mom’s handwriting, so she put that there. You messed up what SHE wanted, not something your dad did.

And why this distrust? What other issues are causing you to feel your dad is doing something harmful to your mom?

You should tell your mom and dad both what you did, and have a conversation about things, while sitting at a table, all 3 of you.

Do more listening than talking. BB.

i dont know why your first instinct was to burn something you didn’t understand. generally speaking, thats a terrible idea. i would advise against reacting in such a way before you know more about the situation in the future

    You shouldn’t have burned it.

    You should have just asked.

Go talk to them about it, or at least one of them. Your brother wasn’t concerned, why were you? Is there a reason for the distrust going on (past events maybe? fear of witchcraft?)? Unless you know what you’re getting into, it’s best not to touch. Some of us and therefore our craft bite.

You burned something because you didn’t understand it? Whatever it was, you probably have now set it in motion…

Plus, are you aware of the stigma surrounding burning and misunderstanding in our world? 😕🙄🤦‍♀️

Just sayin’, maybe your first instinct shouldn’t be violence when it comes to the unknown. I really hope it wasn’t anything negative… Next time, ask first! And NEVER burn a potentially spiritually dangerous object–this is how you release the negativity into the Universe and the environment!

Firstly, why are you messing with other peoples shit? If you’re concerned about the wellbeing of your family you need to talk that out directly.. If the note was in your mom’s handwriting then clearly she knew it was there.

Additionally, usually burning the paper is what would start a spell to work, so honestly all you did was ensure whatever you found had been wasted. You need to talk to your parents about what you found and how it made you feel.

Internet strangers can’t fix or know what you found because each spell is exclusive to the witch who made it. There isn’t some grand book ti reference.

I hope you can talk with your family and feel more secure about your home going forward.

I will note that usually putting peoples names with protective items like sage is way of keeping them safe.

Ish. Writing a name 3 times is often a start, but absent anything else, I feel like you’re overreacting. The only “ingredients” you mention are sage and charcoal, which are only really used for protection and cleansing. Very possibly your dad wanted protection from or for your mom (although it’s weird that it’s in her hand writing and she doesn’t remember giving it to him?). Although even that feels like a stretch, but just sitting in a cup suggests it hasn’t actually be used.

Well ..sounds like kind of a love spell or could be protection too. But I wouldnt worry too much but you shouldnt have burned it. Let them figure this out themselves and dont get in the way.
