Does Pisces KNOW they’re lying or do the believe their Delusions are the truth???

My daughter the pisces sun conj merc says that she rehearses a lie over and over in her head until she can imagine the scenario and then she believes it. After time passes, she forgets the original truth.

I was married to one. It’s more complex than this.
In the cases where Pisces is not self aware:
It is “easier” to lie and the lie comes natural and that is what they default to. They don’t plan to lie. In fact, they are trying to be honest. When they realize they lied, it’s three days later. Now it’s easier to pretend it never happened. And Pisces is very good at pretending. Sometimes the lie becomes the truth in the Pisces head and eventually Pisces is horrified at the mess they created from their hodgepodged reality but they can’t untangle it without untangling their entire identity. So they just keep on keeping on with what is “easiest” and hurts less people.They lie to avoid hurting people mostly. They don’t want to see the look on your face when they have something to say that is hurtful to you. They don’t sit around and plot to lie. It’s all emotion driven and they can’t really control it even if they are aware of it.

I believe that the toxic Pisces in my life tells herself stories, and ruminates on them until they become truth in her own mind; her reality. The stories we tell ourselves…do not necessarily equal truth.

My ex best friend used to be a very Pisces forward person so below is strictly anecdotal.
I think they begin to formulate their delusions and seek input to confirm it and then begin to really believe it. The funny thing is, it must STEM from them for them to believe it and they will lead an outside source to confirm their belief bias.
I do not think they are aware they do this.
I’ve also had great friendships with other Pisces that have a better reign on these self sabotaging habits.

It depends on the pisces. I have an Aqua moon and cancer rising. I’ve found that I’ll think of lies or scenarios, but couldn’t ever go through with them. Just cause you’re able to something doesn’t mean you should. Hurting people hurts me deeper most of the time so I try and avoid it

As the “harsh mean cruel” (Direct? Honest?) Scorpio older sister to a cute soft squishy little Pisces brother (who has learned ultimate passive aggressive warfare ….lol) I feel mellowed out reading this thread.

As a Pisces sun, Mercury, mars, and Jupiter, yes we know we are lying. However, when I was younger I used to lie *a lot* so much so that I forgot the truth, and I believed my own lies. So to this day, when my childhood friend asks me if something I said when we were kids was true, I usually tell her no since I lied so frequently, but honest to god I have no actual idea. I don’t make it a habit to lie as much, and if I do I can determine what is truth and what’s not—I typically lie when I don’t want to hurt people I love.
I think it depends on their maturity too. -

My bf has Pisces sun, Gemini moon, sag rising and I am never sure what his motivations for lying are… but this post has been incredibly enlightening. His idea of truth is very fluid and infuriating for my sag sun Aries moon.
He just loves pressing peoples buttons and trying his luck. I caught him smiling once when we were fighting after he said something that made me fly off the handle. He loves to get a reaction out of me.
Similarly, when he doesn’t feel like dealing with the situation at hand, he will either lie or just shut down completely and ignore anything and everything until it just ‘goes away’. Which is, btw, the worst.
Edit: I listened to a podcast about Casey Anthony recently and the way she lies reminds me of my dear bf, lol… the way they both lie, and stick to it, regardless of how OBVIOUS it is they’re lying.
