ppaapMemberSo I bought a shit ton of dragonsblood incense on a whim and now I don’t know what to do with them.
I know they are good for cleansing and protection(?), but most people err toward using sage, palo santo, or some other scented incense for cleansing.
The deities that call to me (hades and Aphrodite) do not have dragonsblood affiliated with them.
Most incense that people use for ancestral worship seem to be different scents.
I don’t really know what to do with all this dragonsblood incense now lol. If there is anyone who uses it, please tell me how you use it. Any tips in general are appreciated

GuestAugust 9, 2022 at 5:41 amI have always seen Dragonsblood as not so much having a specific symbolism, but rather as a force multiplier for other energies.
As in, it adds power to any spell.
So use it with something else at the same time, and see how that feels to you. BB.

Use it to add power to magickal work. It gives an oomph! to almost anything.
Use to increase protections, or bring in some luck. Burn a stick, and use it to draw protective symbols.
Use resin in a bag with other herbs or stones for magickal purposes. Maybe try adding a chunk to your shampoo bottle to do magick that way. Just test it first since it is also used as a red dye, and to make sure you’re not sensitive.
Use it during meditation or to invigorate.

GuestAugust 9, 2022 at 5:41 amNot sure how much a shit ton is, but I’m going to imagine it’s at lest 100. And I’m imagining it’s incense sticks.
So, if it is like 100+ incense sticks, I’d put 90% of that in a tall jar or ziplock bag, and keep it somewhere dark. If you keep it away from the air and sunlight, your herbs and incense will last forever.
Keep like 10 around for use. It’s good for cleansing , but also empowering. So you can use it in addition to other incense to give your spell a boost. Kinda like ginger.
It also has banishing properties that I find help with bad habits or self negativity. So if you’re trying to do some personal change like new eating habits, new frame of mind, etc, Dragon’s blood is a good starter as it helps pull out that negativity, giving you a fresh start to your day/week/whatever. -

GuestAugust 9, 2022 at 5:41 amI *just* used dragon’s blood incense in a spell I cast for someone else. The use here was to empower the individual to be introspective/reflective and facilitate self-healing through those means, while simultaneously being protected from any negative energies. I’ve read that it’s useful for protecting and energizing your spiritual core, in addition to its cleansing properties! I’m an Aries though, so I feel particularly connected to it.

GuestAugust 9, 2022 at 5:41 amI too use it for boosting the power of whatever I’m doing. I don’t get a protective or cleansing vibe from it.

GuestAugust 9, 2022 at 5:41 amI’m not sure how to answer your question, but I have a question of my own. When you say, deities that call to you, what do you mean? I’m a young witch and am still learning. If you can answer, It will be appreciated
