Dreams of deceased and smell.

I just have to share my experience (s) over the last few months. I’ve been dabbling in being able to connect to the other side under guidance from someone much more experience. It started when I felt someone touch my back (in a loving type of way) when I was laying my son down for bed one night about 4.5 years ago. More recently I found out that my house/property seems to be a hotspot for wayward spirits. I haven’t completely figured out why. Occasionally I’ll see figures and hear words but the most recent occurrences were 1) I saw a child in my bedroom door way after I heard “MOM” while both of my children were sound asleep. I told whoever/whatever it was that I couldn’t help them and to move along. Maybe not the right response but.. after that I saged my house and myself. Last night I had a dream about a doll house and my deceased grandma came to tell me that she had a doll house like that when she was a child. Then told me she was lonely and I asked her if she would like to go shopping which was a hobby of ours when I was young. Now when she was alive her and I (as an adult) didn’t have the best relationship. There was some life choices of hers that directly affected me that I didn’t agree with. Unfortunately she passed before we could make amends. I feel though that since she has passed our relationship has developed in a different way because she has come to me In My dreams and they’re always more of a bonding type of interaction. But what made this situation different from the rest was that when I woke up I didn’t remember the dream at all until I smelled the STRONG smell of stale cigarette smoke. She was a heavy smoker which ultimately took her life. No one in my house smokes and just as soon as I smelled the smell it was gone.

If you have any advice to offer in how to connect deeper with her or how to even decipher the dream better I would love to hear it.

Just talk to her, out loud or in your mind. My relationship with my mom in life was very rocky, however after she passed away she released all judgments and like you said, our relationship was able to progress in a different way. Now she helps me communicate with other spirits and other people’s spirit guides. Ask you grandmother to send you a specific sign, like a purple rose or whatever you can think of.
