So as everyone knows Christian Easter is on a Sunday every year. This year I’m a new pagan and Hades’ devotional day is on every Sunday. Im a minor, in the broomcloset, and I’m supposed to be a str8 cis good Christian boy so I can’t even say I’m an atheist let alone a pagan. Every Christian holiday (Christmas, Good Friday, New Year, Easter, etc.) me or my twin is forced to say grace. Christmas I got out of it by hiding in the bathroom but I was told if I do it again I’m grounded. I feel like I’m betraying Hades if I say grace and I want to ask Hades for grace instead but I’ll be grounded and maybe hit (like a slap). I don’t have the slightest clue what to do and I’m kinda scared. My grandmother threw out Hades candles because it was lit and that was almost a month ago and I still feel bad and I’ll feel worse if I have to pray to someone else on his devotional day when I haven’t had a chance to replace the candle.

Any help and/or advice would help so so much.

There are many gods. When you say grace next time, every time you use the word “God”, they will think you mean their god. But in your mind, your intention, is the prayer of thanks, (because that is what grace is), is going out to Hades.

He will understand, and feel your intention. You will be fine with Him. BB.

Could also say “lord” because that’s a thing they do, but is also a title that, ostensibly, could be anyone. Hades, lord of the underworld.

Since you’re working with a Hellenic deity in Hades, you should read up on the Hellenic concept of Xenia.

Basically, the Hellenic gods held the concept of hospitality to be an important part of natural law. So being respectful of your elders, and even honoring their gods, was considered appropriate.

That’s a good perspective to look from
