AriannaParticipantI was wondering what placements would be optimal for an electional chart for submitting college applications… i figured Jupiter would be good but I have no idea where it would go in the chart…

GuestAugust 25, 2021 at 1:49 amA few, very basic rules:
* Don’t put a malefic (mars/saturn) ruled sign on the asc (no cap, aqua, aries or scorpio) The ruler of the asc is pretty crucial.
* Don’t put mars or saturn in an angular house. Cadent is best, succedent next best. Don’t have them ruling the house that the election is about either, nor strongly influencing the ruler of that house or the ruler of the asc.
* Make sure the ruler of the asc is in good shape (not in fall, not in an aversion house, not in a sign in its fall or detriment.
* Try to highlight the house that holds whatever area of life the election is for, so the 9th for college, for example.
* Probably would want mercury in good condition, since this is a communication process. There are so many things. And there will never be a perfect electional chart, so you just work to highlight the best things and minimize the troublesome things. If you aren’t already knowledgeable about electionals, then please watch and study the episode below. There are also good notes on the site about the material in the vid/podcast. Do watch the vid version first, so you can see the charts.

This is a 9th house election. You will want to fortify the ruler of the ascendant, the Moon, the 9th house and its ruler. You may also want to put the cusp of your natal 9th house on the ascendant.
Electional astrology is not natal astrology. It has specific rules of operation, but that’s only so that you’ll get the most optimal effect.
