CharlesParticipantHi! New here.
Is it normal to have empty houses? If I’m reading this correctly from my Co-Star app, I have a few houses that are stockpiled and others (total 6!) completely empty.
Anyone else?

GuestFebruary 2, 2021 at 12:03 pmThere are only ~~9~~ 10 planets (whoops, forgot Pluto lol) but 12 houses, so yes, you will have empty houses.
Co-Star doesn’t show your full chart and uses a less popular house system, so don’t be surprised if your chart looks different on other sites.
Time Passages, AstroMatrix, and Chani Nicholas’ new “Chani” (this ones uses Whole Signs, not Placidus) are good apps to see your chart and some interpretations. [Astro.com](https://www.astro.com/) and
[astro-seek.com](https://www.astro-seek.com/) are good websites that have tons of info and can also calculate your chart. -

GuestFebruary 2, 2021 at 12:03 pmHey! I’m not a huge expert on astrology but what i’ve heard we should dump Co-Star, I guess the way they have it set up is very confusing and just wrong sometimes. I could be wrong but that’s what the word going around is!

GuestFebruary 2, 2021 at 12:03 pmEveryone has “empty houses.” It’s far more uncommon to have something in nearly every house. However, if you start learning ancient methods and how every house has a ruler, you learn that no house is truly empty.

GuestFebruary 2, 2021 at 12:03 pmYes. It’s very normal to have empty houses and does not indicate that you’re lacking in that area of your life.
I believe co-star completely omits houses that are empty, so if your chat jumps around there and skips, that’s why. You should look at your chart on other sources to get the full picture.

GuestFebruary 2, 2021 at 12:03 pmHello, yes it is.
Look up “Lords through houses”.
For example let’s say your first house in Aries (on the cusp), but you have no planets in this first house, it’s empty. Your Mars is in Taurus, hence falling in your second house.
As Mars has its rulership in Aries (and Scorpio), you will look up “1st lord in the 2nd house” to see the effects of it. Of course this will get skewed by aspects with other planets, and if you have other planets in the house :).
I’ve attached another explanation: http://www.astrosage.com/planet/house/
Hope it makes sense.

GuestFebruary 2, 2021 at 12:03 pmNot an astrology god, but im sure that empty houses mean you already “completed” that aspect of yourself in a past life.
