Etsy Sellers: Has this subreddit helped your sales?

A long time ago, I think it was about a year into moderating, when I made the differentiation in Rule 7, between physical goods and immaterial services, the thought that was ringing out to me that witches make things, and little doodads — and today’s technology allows people to make money in ways that they hadn’t been able to, before.

I’ve always wanted this subreddit to be a board that people can come to *progress their* ***lives***, not only in their knowledge and beliefs, but maybe people could make a few extra bucks too; if we do it right, multiple people benefit in different ways (right?).

So I’m curious — those of you who have an Etsy shop, and have posted here, have you seen an uptick in sales?

I’ve also created a new flair: Etsy | Networking — This should be used going forward for these threads; this way, people can filter by flair and find your post. It can be beneficial for you if you go back and edit your post’s flair; we can do this, but there are so many that we’ll probably miss them.

Lastly, any feedback on the [Networking Thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/witchcraft/comments/pblu7j/networking_megathread/) is great — It’d be cool if people interacted and left reviews for sellers as well. I don’t know Etsy’s policies on external reviews, but this is a pool of 350k potential buyers so I’d think it’d help.

Thank you for this. Personally, I come to reddit for discussion (mainly just to read about others’ perspectives tbh), not to see advertisements. This is a good compromise.

Not what you asked but people trying to make money on reddit is my biggest pet peeve, particularly as a mod on another sub… except for this sub. I would much prefer to give my money to these fine women than Amazon. I’ve made 2 purchases from posters here and have been absolutely thrilled with both of them.

personally dont like this idea as there may be valid practitioners trying to help, scammers may soon take advantage of the situation.
