What makes it inaccurate? Querents will sometimes say a reading doesn’t “resonate” which usually means that they didn’t hear what they wanted to hear. I wouldn’t pay them any mind really. If you can backup every word of your reading with what is on the cards – you did a good job.

But beyond that, we all have an off day and we all make mistakes. Welcome to being human.

OP, I’m going to tell you something that’s both wildly unpopular and still 100% true: sometimes, your readings will be completely wrong, and there is absolutely nothing that you can do about it.

That is true of every single tarot reader out there. You, me, the most famous tarot readers – every last one of us will have times where we’re simply just… wrong.

It could be down to tiredness, overworking yourself, accidentally misinterpreting correct cards, or just having an off reading/day.

That doesn’t make you “shit” when it comes to tarot. It sounds counterintuitive, but it’s actually a great sign that you’re doing well on your journey.

Think about this for a second: if you were always 100% correct in every single reading you did, then what would happen to your ego? It would skyrocket. It would become very, very easy to forget that the point is to try and help others first and foremost, and instead become an exercise in fanning the flames of an unhealthy ego.

Because there are times that you’re wrong, they become great learning experiences. They keep you humble. They very quickly get rid of any clients that aren’t understanding, so you aren’t saddled with reading for terrible people.

The only people that claim to be 100% accurate are either liars, frauds or people whose “readings” are so generic that they don’t even really mean anything in the first place. Ignore them.

Please be kind to yourself. Take some time, remember to relax, and know that you’re doing great. Have faith in yourself, and be proud of everything that you have accomplished, and will accomplish. All the best to you. x

Something my mentor told me once: sometimes you’re just not the messenger for that person.

Also I think sometimes you just gotta be careful. I do readings at events and sometimes run into skeptics and well… I have a couple thoughts on this 1) Being a skeptic and getting a reading is like getting a massage and being super tense the entire time and being unwilling to let yourself relax 2) Sometimes people are just assholes 3) Sometimes people just don’t want to/aren’t ready to accept what you’re telling them and it feels shitty for you in the moment but that’s OKAY.

I’ve only done one reading where the client said “none of that was accurate” keep in mind, she was with friends and some heavy stuff was coming up. So part of me thinks that maybe she just didn’t want to talk about it in front of everyone and maybe she just felt defensive for whatever reason. I have no idea but it is what it is. I still do readings and hey, sometimes I’m gonna be wrong. I’m human. So don’t be so hard on yourself!

I feel like when I do several readings in a row no matter how much I try to cleanse in between the energy just starts to overlap. Sometimes switching the deck helps but it happens.

What makes you think it was inaccurate or that your previous ones were accurate? These are tools for the subconscious mind. You’re not speaking to fate or anything.

Indeed it may have been fatigue. It requires fixed concentration to read accurately. However there will also be occasions where you are wrong regardless of concentration. Even if you were to become highly intuitive, your interpretations of your intuitions would sometimes be completely wrong. So the best thing to do if you are getting something wrong is to ask questions or explore possibilities. But apart from that, just admit when you are wrong and either take a minute and then offer to do the reading again or just provide the client with a refund if they have paid you anything.

Honestly whenever I give a tarot reading, this is why I disclose beforehand that it’s for “entertainment purposes” and if a reading turns out to be “inaccurate” or something they don’t want to hear, then that’s on them… also why I never do tarot as a “hustle”…only for fun and only for friends

Also, I wanted to add that if you were doing this as a hustle, the person you did the reading for could have intentionally disregarded your reading and blocked you to have an excuse to not pay/donate for the reading. OR maybe it did resonate but they weren’t ready to accept it. They could be in denial. I’ve received tarot readings in the past from others that did not “resonate” with me at the moment, but then made a realization later on that the reading was indeed accurate, I just couldn’t see it at that moment. Don’t take it personal. You delivered the tarot reading they asked for. They’re grown and made the choice to receive a reading from you. What goes on in their head after that is all on them.

Some people say they want the reading but are adverse to readings. Some people want to hear a certain message for no good reason other than fantasy. There are a lot of factors beyond your control.

You hit the wall, that’s all. My ability will shut down all of a sudden if I’ve been too open for too long

For every one I get wrong I get another 50 right. I usually chalk it up to I just couldn’t connect with them and that’s not your fault

We’re human. We’re never going to be right 100% of the time. It could be because of a myriad of reasons: you aren’t connecting with the querent well, tired, drained, etc etc. Be patient with yourself.

It happens, we aren’t perfect beings, we don’t see perfectly and while it is rare, to hold ourselves above mistakes is going to be distressing when they do happen. I have made on average 1 mistake a year where the reading was obviously wrong and I felt like shit too. x you will carry on and put it behind you and like any practice, we improve and don’t make that particular mistake again. xxx you have got this,

No one’s gonna be right 100% of the time on anything, even when they’re divining. Frankly, if this is the first time you’ve gotten it wrong, I’d say you have an incredible success rate. Don’t let it get you down. Keep going, try to learn from it if you can, but don’t give up because of it.

Please don’t worry about it-we are humans we all make mistakes. You will be able to find instances of people falling at some time or the other in virtually any industry and it is no different with tarot.

I think sometimes there is this unrealistic expectation for tarot readers/psychics to know everything and be right all the time otherwise they are not ‘legit’ but that’s just not true.

Like you say it’s probably because you are overworking so you weren’t able to perform as well. I fully believe that you will give many accurate readings for people if you continue to do this.
