markParticipantHey all! I was curious about how to get out of a rut spiritually? I’ve been feeling drained and my energy all out of whack. I moved 2 months ago into a new house and I cleansed it and blessed it but since then I’ve been extremely drained. Any advice is great advice! Thank you and blessed be 💜

GuestJune 24, 2021 at 3:17 pmI had this happen a few months ago actually. A few things that really helped me were:
**Taking a break** *(straight up calmy distancing myself from my practice. I still do some small things subconsciously like go outside when it rained or be out somewhere and see something I think one of my deities would appreciate. It was small things that kept me in the practice while still taking time to focus inward)*
**I got a makeup subscription** *(As someone with ADHD and common burnout, makeup has been something I can lean on as subconscious spirituality. I manifest confidence. You can do this with anything, if you get a long enough subscription you can even Pavlov affect yourself to become grounded when you get the package. Subscriptions are very broad and you can probably get almost anything in a subscription.)*
**Coping mechanisms** *(a lot of DBT therapy can tie into spirituality. I highly recommend it for both thorough mental health practice and help with spiritual burnout)*
**Walks** *(As someone who loves walks, I can say that going on a walk with a friend is one of the best things I can think of. I like to bring a little basket I bought with some garden sheers [along with eggshells, pennies, and other small items to return for what I take] and collect anything from moss, cool sticks, leaves that catch my eye, flowers to cicada shells and even sometimes trash that I can either throw away or reuse!)* -

GuestJune 24, 2021 at 3:17 pmFor me, it kinda depends on the reason I’m feeling burnt out.
When I’m getting bored, I will drop my focus in one subject, and then move on to another. Sometimes I just don’t feel like tarot, so I start gardening instead. Or I’m tired of gardening, so I move on to an art project I can charge with an intention. I embed magic into all of my hobbies to some degree.
When I just don’t feel like I have the time, I start adding spiritual components to things I do everyday. I’ll charge my food or drinks with positive energy. I’ll do a blessing when I clean, or cleanse my energy when I shower. I also like to add subtle spiritual components to my space. Aromatherapy, flowers, and a pretty crystal here and there can make a big difference in how I feel.
When I’m just too depressed or physically tired to put in the effort, I really start focusing on self care. I think it’s important to accept the darker moments and use them as a time for rest and reflection. I’ve found that my meditations are more fruitful when I’m in this space. Gratitude and mindfulness journaling are a huge shadow work practice for me, as well as regular positive affirmations. I add a bit of magic to my hygiene/beauty routines, and I really focus on getting enough sleep too. Sometimes I even pretend I’m flexible enough for yoga lolol. I think creating a daily spiritual self care practice can have a big impact on how in tune we feel. It’s really been a game changer for me at least.

GuestJune 24, 2021 at 3:17 pmYeah its happens with moving to many people. To kinda start things going again.
Few years back I move just from one room to another. It makes a difference since the place where you are staying is not soaked with your energy.
Its that effect like when you are on vacations for long time and then you come back to your room. Its like you open a door, step in and boom. Its like you feel it. The HOME energy.
I think until your new house get soaked in your eneergy. You gonna feel the same. I recommend raising sacred space. Kinda expand your energy and charge up the house.

GuestJune 24, 2021 at 3:17 pmI recently bought the book Natural Highs by Mary Lambert. I don’t love the whole book but it does have several suggestions that have been/look helpful.
