I am new to witchcraft and I have been trying to get in touch with a deity, just kind of asking the universe to put one on my mind that would be the best fit for me, and I am getting signs from both Hermes and Loki, and the two of them are very similar. Is it possible I am misinterpreting something? Is it normal to be called by two gods?

Ohhh two Gods that are the tricksters of their respected pantheons. Very interesting and fun.
There is no true limit to how many Gods/Goddess you work with as long as you don’t feel overwhelmed and make sure to respect them properly. I know some who follow multiple deities.

Depends if you believe in syncretism or not. I’m not sure if I believe in it myself, but Loki and Hermes feel suspiciouly similar and share a suspicious amount of symbols, like Baldr and Apollo.
I hope this is not a controversial comment, here I’m talking about my experience. More than once when reading about Hermes I was like “this is so Loki” and viceversa.
