People tend to forget real fucking quick that ‘in God We trust’ wasn’t around until the 50s! All due to the Red Scare after WW2. Soon after the pledge was also molded to add God in it as well. So no, it’s not something that’s been there since day one. Shit, it ain’t even as old as Betty White, may she Rest in Peace.
