First time reading for others & Are you frustrated as a newbie?

Hi all… I’m relatively new to Tarot… about a year into it on and off. I’ve always had a hard time reading my cards. I’d lay out a spread for myself and have to look up all the meanings and would mostly be left feeling stumped. It was frustrating but I would push through and analyze to the point of exhaustion.

Last night we had a small group of friends over and I pulled out my cards for fun and I did a past – present – future for everyone and the cards were all spot on and immediately easily interpreted by me. Everyone was amazed and one was kind of freaking out about the accuracy.

Point of the story is…. if you’re new and feeling frustrated by your readings on yourself, give it a try on someone else. Maybe you read better for others. 🙂

Also agreed. It’s harder for me to read for myself and much easier for me to read for others. It can be a bit frustrating at times! My solution when that’s happening is to offer to trade a reading with someone, I’ll read for them and they’ll read for me.

Great tip! Practicing on others until you find your flow is super helpful. Another thing that helps me is to practice on myself each day by doing a one card pull. The pressure is significantly less, and it gets easier each day. I’ve only been doing it a few months, but the difference is remarkable.
