For me, historically the Sun is a friend of mine.
Readings by others have always pointed to him being the Sun as well.

There are other cards that represent me to me, and I really like the 10 of swords as a long awaited new start.

What cards have personal meaning to you and how do those change your readings?

Cards certainly have personal meaning to me within the context of the question, but never as a consistent absolute like “the Sun always represents my friend”.

When I was learning I would assign Court cards to people I personally knew but that was a learning technique. Courts can and do represent many possibilities to me today depending on question and context.

I was going through some things (medical recovery, stress, emotional strife. Fuck American healthcare.) and multiple times I received the Moon and High Priestess in readings.

I’ve come to accept them as the two sides of me in this situation I was in. I have extremely valuable dreams that come to fruition as I rest. I need to internalize to my inward dreams that will bring me forward when I recover from my resting.

Nothing really. The Fool’s card is either “Don’t worry about it, it’ll be fine.” or “Hahaha, you’re screwed buddy!” Just like everything else in my life.

i have always identified with the queen of wands, even before i started studying/reading tarot. when i did start learning, it was like, HOLY CRUD this *is* me— in one of my decks [ sasuraibito tarot] she even LOOKS like me– faded purple hair & black cat.

my partner is the king of cups- which describes them perfectly. they chose that also before they started getting into tarot.

it’s kinda cute that as 2 nonbinary folx that strongly complement each other, our personal signifier cards are the “most masc” fiery queen & “most femme” water king.
