Hello, everyone! Longtime admirer of this sub but this is my first time posting. I have been a medium for nearly three years and I have an odd question.
I conducted a reading for a friend and all went well. It was very insightful for them. However around an hour or so after the reading, there is a smell of flatulence? I am alone and it wasn’t me. Could this be a lingering spirit? Could it perhaps be something like a gas leak?

Was it sulphur-like, like rotten eggs?

My first reaction at all times is to check for gas leaks. Then, I check the area where I smelled whatever, for food that was not discarded, (as if), the carpet to be certain it is not wet, I search.
If all that is okay, I feel the energies. I seem to do that concurrently with my search. Check the mundane first. rule out safety concerns, (like a dead rat somewhere outside or a squirrel in the walls), and then consider the spiritual. If the smell does not recur, great. IF it does, Mundane check, spiritual check, tell the smelly one to leave.
We once heard buzzing for months in our bedroom. We searched and we searched and we searched. My parents decided to add on to the house. It turned out our outside wall was a virtual wasp heaven. We weren’t bonkers. Ha!

Hi, If you remain in an altered state, for communication then yes you may receive information. However if you are attending to day to day activities and smell then this is your conscious mind taking over or a smell in your area. Think about what you were doing and where you mind was, snd this will help. In my opinion this is mind. 🙂
