Got a bad reading about a career I would like to pursue..

I asked my friend to do a reading for me about this career.
She did.
And she said I wont be successful, I wont earn much, I wont be that good at this.
She said I wont regret it. BUT I will be really frustrated and tired. But I will continue.

It really got me discouraged ???? Should I take tarot readings for granted? Like I think, all of her readings has actually came true. When It came to my love life.

But all of these were in the near future (like days, weeks, months)

Any advice? ????

When I had asked somebody for a second opinion on a spread about a relationship, they said “Don’t let tarot talk you into a bad relationship, or out of a good one.”

I think the same applies to this reading. Do you really believe that your friend knows the future? If so, pay attention to what she says, and move to another career if you feel so inclined. If you don’t believe that your friend knows the future, then you can move forward trusting yourself rather than your friend.

From a secular perspective, that she would know the future is impossible. Readings are often general enough to apply to multiple things (the barnum effect), and people apply them to the most salient thing in their life (confirmation bias). If she said “You will get hurt in this relationship,” and you end up getting dumped, then yes you got hurt. If you and your partner had a fight, even if you make up and live happily ever after, then “getting hurt” still applies, and the reading is stilltrue. Even if you don’t have a partner, but you get hurt by a good friend, it’s natural that you would stretch the understanding to include that relationship as well. We want these predictions to work, and we look for every possible way to make it happen. With a long enough timeline, and open enough readings, everything will come true in one facet or another.

It’s time to reflect on your beliefs, and think if you trust yourself more than you trust a deck of tarot cards. Good luck!

You are in control of your own destiny. Don’t rely so heavily on card readings. Besides, bad experiences are not mistakes. If I look back at experiences that I had that were difficult I do not see them as bad at all. Trials build us into resilient beings. Do what you truly want to do. Don’t give up your dreams for fear of failure. You only fail when you stop trying.

i think that the future is changeable!! i think even if she said that you won’t be successful, maybe there’s something in you that hasn’t unlocked yet that will make you successful! 🙂 i don’t know!! but the future is always changeable!! and she said you won’t regret it anyway! it’s worth a shot!!

or if you think that what she said is the end all be all, maybe you should explore different options! maybe make up a whole new career and innovate whatever it is you like to do!! there’s lots of options for you besides what your original goal is!! 🙂 good luck regardless!!!

At the end of the day, YOU have the FREEWILL to embark on whatever choice and desire you have. Tarot is a tool to receive messages from the other side and give you guidance. Don’t base your life on what the cards say.

Every reading changes the minute the subject of the reading makes a decision. If it tells you something good, you go full steam ahead. It tells you something bad and you change your course, and presume failure, failure will happen. If you want things to be different, ask a different question.. like.. “What can I do to change this outcome?”
