    Hey all,

Taking a look at a chart today and it seems to have a grand trine in Taurus, Virgo and Sagittarius. I’ve never encountered a dual element GT before. How do folks interpret this? Would you give more weight to earth in this context? All input welcome, and thank you!

It must involve an out of sign trine with a planet in late degrees of Sagittarius. Imo out of sign aspects are always weaker, and a grand trine that isn’t bringing together all 3 signs of an element doesn’t usually function as strongly as a grand trine. Personally I tend to allow a much smaller orb on out of sign aspects when interpreting, usually 3 degrees or less.

What potentially strengthens it a bit here though is if the the Sagittarius planet is the fastest moving planet of the 3. Then it would be applying to the trines with the earth planets and that grand trine might be more active in the chart. (Especially if it’s the Moon, bc then it most likely moved into Capricorn and perfected the earth grand trine within 24 hours or so of the persons birth, depending on how wide of an orb you’re allowing there.)

If the Sag planet is not the fastest though then the grand trine probably already happened in late degrees of fire signs before the person’s birth, and is separating in the chart, again making it weaker. If any of these planets are Rx though that could change things. Anyway just worth checking the ephemeris to see where/when the exact grand trine actually happened. That will give you more context for interpretation.

    Hope that’s helpful!
