To add what Puffs is saying…this isn’t a race. While experiencing psychic/mediumship phenomena is wildly exciting, and magical…there is no ‘end’ or ‘finality’ or ‘completeness’ or ‘success’ or ‘achievement’ in the journey. It’s always a journey, all is motion, all is change, that’s how frequency/vibration works. If a medium, or a psychic, believes they are finished learning, or have ‘achieved’ the ‘thing,’ then they are massively deluded. That doesn’t meant that they aren’t skilled, it just means they have stopped expanding. The universe is infinite, and so is our personal growth. That doesn’t mean there can’t be confidence in one’s own skillset, or an ability to assist others in their learning process. There is a long standing human history of personal mentorship, but it’s not always necessary. Keep that in mind. You can experience yourself without human mentorship. Your higher self, and your guides will show you the way, although you have to slow down enough to hear the messages. Having confidence in one’s abilities to do that involves one of the most important skillsets…which is to self-evaluate, and that comes with having many, many experiences of expansion and contraction, or light and shadow, or destruction and creation, or however you prefer to express the duality of the oneness connection/experience within yourself – and that takes time. It cannot be rushed. There is no need to continue to ‘invest’ in any mentor, process, structure, format, school, teaching, or being (outside of yourself), if you no longer resonate with it. That’s standard sunk cost fallacy. You do not have to be a ‘commercial’ medium. You do not have to ‘share’ your gift with others. You do not have to ‘figure’ this out right now. Each life is progress through experience. If you want healthier and more balanced experience in this life, take your time finding out what resonates with you, and don’t be afraid to walk away from anyone, anything, any experience, that doesn’t…right then, and there, when it doesn’t. Not after the course is over, not after someone, or something gives you permission to walk away. Right then, right there. Break contact, move in another direction…or just stop moving for awhile (take a break from all of it). If you want connection, you must be willing to disconnect. Or, you must be willing to engage, and as powerfully disengage with the experience as you expand yourself into more experience. Those mediums who are caught up in the label as ‘medium’ first and foremost in their human experience, are not in a healthy or balanced place, and should not be rewarded for that. If you can’t walk away from it, it owns you. If this message doesn’t resonate with you, you probably want the ‘label’ instead of the growth. Meditate on that.

Agreed. It’s much better to focus on the teachings and not the teacher. Students need to access a wide variety of teachings, methodologies and experiences and see what resonates as truth to them, and set aside the rest. No teacher has all the answers or can provide short-cuts. These teachers often position themselves as gurus, and if you encounter one of these, I’d suggest running far and fast in the opposite direction.
