So I recently started giving tarot reading to other people and as soon as I start a reading I instantly get an headache and some times I get nauseous. I’m an Empath and extremely sensitive to energy. What should I do? How can I protect myself?
Ps: I can’t afford crystals and other things for protection.

Ground yourself after the reading. Put salt on your tongue, eat something, go outside and touch the ground. Maybe drink tea during, peppermint and spearmint helps with nausea. Water helps with head aches, maybe put the slightest amount of salt in the water (not too much cuz you don’t want to dehydrate yourself) to help ground you.

And as for protection, do you cook? Do you use bay leaves in your cooking at all? You can burn a bay leaf with the word ‘Protection’ written on it using a Sharpie pen, ball point pen, or metallic Sharpie pen. Bay leaves burn quick and fast usually so have water near by and or a fire-safe bowl/plate to set it on. Then you can give the ashes to the Earth outside or you can wipe the ashes on the table you use for divination in a circle around where you will be placing your cards in. Or you can wipe the ashes on your self in sigils.

Start by understanding that the reading is not yours. Remind yourself that the energy does not belong to you.

I used to get this and feel extremely tired after having someone read me. Grounding is important

Shower before and after your readings and eat a light, healthy snack before and after like veggies & hummus. Open your windows for fresh air while reading if you can or go out for a quick walk before & after.

maybe do a cleanse on your deck? things like sage, crystals etc. but the easiest one I believe is to leave your deck open on a windowsill and let the moon cleanse it. I would look into it šŸ™‚

It’s like when you try to study hard stuff at school, college, etc.

You’re interpreting symbols, and you’re constantly remembering meanings for the cards and mixing them with the situations you’ve been asked.

Since it’s a lot of mental work, your head aches.

When you get more accustomed to the exercise of reading, it’ll stop.

    Have nice readings šŸ™‚

Stay hydrated!!!! Tarot always makes me feel exhausted especially when Iā€™m doing long readings. Making sure Iā€™m properly hydrated helps.
