Help! Our sweet familiar Fez is missing!! Send your vibes to help us find him.

Some common ways people find their cats when they get out:
1) Do a full sweep of your yard and yards nearby, sometimes a cat will stay hidden in the bushes right beside the door because they’re too scared to move. Also do a sweep of your house, especially weird small places he might have gotten stuck. Take his favorite treats with you and use them to gain his attention if you can. Many cats don’t go very far from home when they get out.
2) If you have any neighbors, ask them to check their garages because sometimes cats get into someone’s house but can’t get back out. Also generally talk to them and ask for their help spotting your cat. This will also avoid the situation of someone taking your cat home thinking they’re just a friendly stray.
3) Leave out food and water. You cat may find their way back but be unable to figure out how to fend for themselves, so food and water in a format they know will help them out.
4) Put a pile of your clothing (with your scent, so dirty/sweaty is best) outside. Sometimes cats just need a scent to follow back and you’ll find them sleeping on your clothing later. If this doesn’t work, put their dirty litterbox outside. Same idea, but the litterbox is more intense of scent.
5) If your neighborhood has other cats in it, literally go “talk” to them. You can put some magic into this if you want, but the mundane idea is that cats are social and if you interact with a neighborhood cat, they’ll be more likely to find your cat who will smell you and follow the other cat back to you later.
6) Visit local shelters/rescues and ask them to keep an eye out for your cat. Let them know if he’s microchipped or not (if not, please microchip him once he’s home) so they can contact you if they scan him when they get a new cat in. Leave your info with a photo of him for them to compare to especially if he’s not chipped.

This may sound silly but I swear it works , our indoor cat got out twice and was missing for a few days each time, both times he came home. if you have a tree or bush I your yard go to the tree and place your hands on it. Tell the tree about your cat and how much you love and miss him. Ask the tree to help guide him home safely. Be sure to thank the tree too when he’s home with you.

Try putting his litter box out by the side of your house along with some of your smelly clothing. Call all animal shelters EVERY day (they get new ones every day). Call rescues, print signs and paste them in hood. Post on Nextdoor and FB! Good luck I hope you find him before anything bad happens.

I sent some energy your way, I’ve lost my pets before so I tend to close my eyes and connect my energy with them and drag them home this way, so I tried it with Fez and sent him some “Come home, you remember the way” energy. It sounds like it’d be impossible, but I firmly believe we’re all connected and I’ve done this before and it always works. I would give it a shot too, call him when you do it like “come kitty kitty”. Hope this helps, Fez returns now!

my black cat Sputnik escaped a month ago, and I was so scared for him because it was freezing. Fez will come home. Chances are that he is very close by, as cats are territorial in nature and don’t usually stray too far when they escape. They will often be hiding right on our own property or nearby. Positive thoughts for his safe return. <3
