Please don’t shoot me down .. I’m currently pregnant and 36 weeks I’m really hoping she stays put until the 20th .. Its just that the aquarians that i do know in real life are just to realistic and aren’t very creative and dreamy .. I consider myself a creative person and think I will get on very well with my daughter if she is Pisces instead .. Am I a bad person for assuming this ? Any moms with aqua babies/kids what are they like ? Please give me some hope as I have a feeling she will be coming earlier

I’m an Aquarius Sun who is a full time artist and writer…….

Also why are you putting these huge expectations in a child who isn’t even born yet? That’s asking for trouble.

I’ll be blunt, but bear with me. I think you know that’s a potentially pretty hurtful bias to carry (good for you for recognizing it). Imagine your mother wishing you weren’t piscean instead of valuing your true nature. And your bias is not rooted in any sort of reality. First, the idea that aquarians can’t be creative is just not true. Any sign can be creative. Or not. Second, what would the world be like if everyone was alike? if we only had “dreamers” as you describe pisceans. We need all sorts of people. And third, so what if some or many aquarians *aren’t* dreamy, and really enjoy thinking and learning and science, or whatever else that might light their fire?

Regardless of her birth date, she’s going to have an aquarian mercury, jupiter and saturn and possibly venus. Mercury stays in aqua until mid-March. So, that’s her mind. Venus is in aquarius for almost the entire month of February. Even if she is born with a piscean sun, she’s going to have an aquarius stellium, so something constructive you can do is start reading about the gifts of being an aqua. And if she has a piscean sun, her ruling planet, jupiter (ruler of pisces) will be in aquarius. Hehe, you are not going to be able to avoid having a strongly aquarian daughter. She’ll very likely have some squares to Taurus (to mars and uranus), depending on orbs, so you can learn how to help her work constructively with that.

It can be really fun to have a kid different from you. If you are committed to helping them discover who they are, then you get the joy of engaging in all sorts of things you might not otherwise ever explore. And regardless of their sun sign, there will be things you can connect on and enjoy together, if you look hard enough.

For the record, not all pisceans are “dreamy”. I have a couple in my files — one who was a financial wizard and who loved the stock market and investing (and created generational wealth for her family with it). And another who was a very successful executive in a global corporation, and then started a whole other, unrelated career in his 70s. So. Put aside the kinds of memes and biases you have been absorbing about both signs.

Prepare yourself to love the uniqueness that is your child, in their own right, not what YOU place value on, or what you think would be easier for you, or what you would want in terms of meeting your own needs. Prepare yourself to provide whatever lights your child’s fire. It’s great to provide all sorts of different kinds of experiences (including creative ones!), but don’t try to force your piscean nature/goals onto your child, no matter what sign they are. I’m not really assuming you would – though that is certainly a pitfall many parents fall into.

Look at her chart from the perspective of how she is going to experience you as her mom. And try to feed the positives and mitigate any tricky areas. For example, if your mercurys are at odds, (or other planets are at odds with your mercurys) you will have to work hard to not butt heads with her on how her mind works vs yours. You’d have to learn how to communicate constructively, etc., to minimize any tension. And it will all be on you, not her. Look for any stressful aspects to her mercury or moon, for what you may need to mitigate with awareness. There’s nothing like a kid to make us face our own stuff and grow! Learn how your charts interact with synastry, for clues as to where you need to be more aware, more careful.

A good book is Robert Hand’s Planets In Youth. I recommend it – can be a good help for parents.

I think you have a good start – because you are aware you have this bias. (There’s no such thing as a perfect parent – we all have our issues.) Now you just need to clear it away. Once she gets here, you’ll fall in love with her no matter what her sun sign is. Just have fun with your new adventure! Keep in mind you have the ability to nurture qualities she will have even if you don’t relate to them yourself.

I’m an infertile Sagittarius who would do anything for the stars to bless me with a happy, healthy Aquarius, a child who is sure to be unique and a lot of fun. The cosmos has already seen fit to put a gift in your life, and you need to check your gratitude.

Instead id sun sign, id more focus on whether you want a daytime baby or nighttime baby. Daytime babies are more conservative while night time babies more the rebels of society and innovative based on houses and wrk of an astrologer on astrodienst, that i found fascinating and true

. You sound like youd be happy with a evening or night born aquarius, study the houses and rising signs as hours progress, they are very creative.

If what you say is true, it sounds like you need a grounding influence in your life, someone to bring you out of your dreamy clouds. Maybe your baby will be that for you. If you want someone who is creative and dreamy like you, well, when two dreamy and creative people get together, often very little gets done. Feelings are easily hurt. Already vague personal boundaries are crossed incessantly.

please never tell your child this.

I completely understand, if I ever had kids I would be thinking the exact same thing and hoping for them to be born on a certain day depending on planets. BUT.

this is putting pressure on your child and in doing so, creating expectations for yourself. You’ve essentially created two children in your head. the Pisces baby, who you’ll be overjoyed to bring into the world, and the Aquarius baby who will make you upset about having a child you won’t understand as well as if they were a Pisces.

I’m sure this won’t be the case and you’ll make a great mother, but my mother was also expecting a Pisces and got an Aquarius and it kind of feels like I disappointed her by being born. I have a strained relationship with my mother for other reasons but I think if I had any advice for raising an Aquarius girl, it would be to embrace the side of her that people don’t understand, and encourage her to be herself. the worst thing you could do is tell her to try and behave like all the other kids, she won’t understand, especially as a child. And don’t reduce her to your expectations. Let her grow in her own way and I promise she will do amazing
