Hospice “angels” and anyone who works with Archangel Azrael or knowledgable?

Hello friends 🤍 Warning: kind of a long post but stay with me!

So, I’m an intuitive empath with some clairsentient claircognizant tendencies and I work in healthcare. As clichè as it sounds, it really feels like my calling and I’ve embraced this spirit contract and my role as a healer. I’m still figuring out who all of my spirit guides are but I do enjoy working with multiple including a variety of deities. Before this, I was very drawn and have always been very drawn to to working with Archangels. If this resonates, keep reading.

In my work, I call on Archangel Raphael often for support and to guide me in my work. I also like to put emerald in my pocket or wear it as Raphael is associated with healing green light. I’ve also made a little habit of gifting friends in healthcare emerald reiki bracelets.

I recently interviewed for a new job working at a nursing home where I’ll be responsible for focusing on providing patients with psychosocial support. I will be brought back for a second interview so I’m still in the process but partly asking this because I feel really excited about this position and intuitively feel like this new job will work out and it’s where I’m meant to be right now work wise. With that being said, previously I’ve worked with patients of all ages in different types of settings, babies-elderly and everything in between. This is the first time I’d be solely focused on the elderly but am sort of excited…I really think I can help others and keep them as comfortable as possible. Like I said, without giving too many details, with this potential job I would be focusing more on the psychosocial aspects so I won’t be a hospice nurse, but always had so much respect for them. That’s why I said hospice “angels” because I think those involved in that line of work are gifted and doing something special. “Divine earthly work” I’d call it. So, thank you for your compassionate service to humanity, btw. I think you are incredibly important. I’m grateful for you.

Here’s my questions:
Anyone who has worked with Archangel Azrael or interacted with Azrael, if I get this job, I want to definitely ask for support and guidance. What are ways I can incorporate that into my work besides asking in prayer? What color have you experienced with him? What crystals? Essential oils? Anything else? I’m not much clairvoyant so I’m curious to know from the “seers” especially with me being not as familiar with Azrael. I just know things sometimes and can’t really control it so these things take longer for me to figure out sometimes.

And my hospice “angels” who are also intuitive empaths, besides regularly grounding, meditating, and cleansing, if I proceed with this job, do you have any “spiritual” tips for me on how I can amplify my work to best serve the greater good, tips on psychic protection, etc.?

Congrats OP. Working with our elders can be very fulfilling work. It is a great honor to care for someone during and even after their soul’s sacred departure. Thanks for bringing up Archangel Azrael, I had no idea about him – glad to learn more about his purpose here.

**In response to my super long comment about those interested in working with Michael or any archangel, TLDR; (summarizing as best I can:)**

**Q: Best way to contact them?**
A: With any archangel, all you need to do is simply call on them in prayer. Simply call on them and they’ll be there. **Because of our divine will, they can *only* assist us if we ask them to.** This is important. They are happy to help. A simple “thank you” goes a long way with them. I also think they appreciate gratitude in general — when we can reflect on the beauty in life…things that bring us joy, things we are thankful for, acknowledging all the ways in which we are blessed and abundant. I also think they like it when we sing and dance when happy.

**Tip: I like to check in with Michael when I wake up and before I go to sleep.** You can say whatever but for ex. *”I call upon Archangel Michael, my loving protector Angel. I invite you to connect with me now. Today and every day I ask for your divine guidance and protection for my highest good. Please cover me with divine white light and shield me from any energy that does not best serve me and my divine mission. May I embody your strength and divine light. I ask that any energy I come into contact with today that does not serve me or the highest good be repelled and transmuted to light. I ask that you please sever any etheric cords that do serve my highest good with your flaming battle sword. Thank you Michael, protector Angel. I am grateful for your presence always. Amen.”*

*I will also say the “St. Michael prayer” before bed or anytime I’m experiencing a negative energy or situation and feeling extra in need of protection. (Michael is very helpful with cord cutting and highly recommend googling that and looking up YouTube videos if you aren’t familiar.)*

**Q: Why do I personally specifically like to check in with Michael when I wake up and before bed?**
A: Michael is great for helping with protection obvi so in the morning I ask for his assistance with “shielding” for the day and I also ask him to watch over me as I’m vulnerable in my sleep state.

**Tip: To strengthen your relationship with Michael or any archangel:** *Let them know you are open to receiving their divine communication. Talk to them throughout the day like you would with a friend. Cleanse your space then try meditating or automatic writing. Lots of archangel specific meditations on YouTube. (I’ll come back and comment some of my faves as well as other helpful links.)*

**Tip: It’s not necessary but helpful to know what “color”, “virtue”, and “duty” is associated with them. This helps with visualizing, meditation, discernment, and recognizing their presence.** *Ex. it’s not necessary however, if you’re a crystal person try using lapis lazuli when meditating with Michael as Michael is associated with blue, malachite or emerald when meditating with Raphael as Raphael is associated with green.*

**Q: How to recognize angelic presence**

A: Positive thoughts, warm sensation, bright light, feelings of peace, comfort, safety, unconditional love. Anything else is ego or not an archangel. Also, in my experience, they are very clear and concise with their communication. Listen to your intuition. Practice discernment by asking for a specific sign. Ex. Michael is associated with blue. Ask Michael to send you a blue jay to confirm.
