When it comes to keeping your home peaceful and setting boundaries and home rules, and kicking out entities that don’t follow them. Do you have any advice for new mediums to be able to have command over their space and be able to track energy? And how to kick out entities that aren’t respecting boundaries? I would really appreciate it ❤️✌️

Hi there! Great question. I’ll tell you what I do, but everyone’s gifts and perceptions are different, so take anything I say with a grain of salt.

    1. I keep a space for working with medium clients, and cleanse it regularly.

    2. Make sure self care is a priority. You can’t claim your space if your tank is empty. Also being a medium can be emotionally and physically draining, so make sure you’re getting enough sleep and the right nutrition and FOR GOODNESS SAKES, TAKE BREAKS.

    3. Set boundaries for any ambient or transitory spirits, including spirits that are coming in for future clients. I have even said things like “My office hours start at 10am” when spirits invade my sleeping space.

    4. As you work with your gifts, you may become noticeable to more spirits and entities. Not all will behave, and some will even throw a tantrum (I had a candlestick thrown at me the other day for ignoring someone). In these cases, it would be good to know some basic spiritual home cleansing methods. Which one works for you depends on your spiritual beliefs, but some basic ideas: incense or herb bundles, cleansing sprays, and sound cleansing. I do this about once every few months, or when visiting spirits get uppity.

The biggest piece of advice is to pay attention to your space and notice any unwelcome changes, and go from there.

For banishing negative entities I’ve actually had the most success by doing this instead of trying to force them out by smoke cleansing etc. – I got a bowl of water and set it down, I basically told them calmly and kindly that if they get in the bowl of water I will take it outside and dump it out, and asked them not to come back. I waited until I felt they got in it. Then I covered it with a cloth and dumped it by some trees.

I had a bunch of pissed off spirits in my apartment because I kept trying to force them out by banishments and things, so I also said I didn’t mean to anger them. I’d see transparent black dots floating around the apartment, things getting knocked over in front of me for no reason, feeling watched and paranoid etc. after I did this I’ve been negative spirit free. I gave them the choice to get in or not. As I was waiting for them to get in the bowl I saw 2 black dots flying around it and one white shadow for a split second within a few minutes. I haven’t seen anything since and my mental health is better so I suggest anyone who is having issues with them to try this method if typical things to get rid of spirits isn’t working.

I use [house wards](https://www.uncharted-waters.net/post/chaos-shamanism-my-how-to-for-creating-house-wards). That’s the default boundary that I don’t spend much time thinking about. I set my permissions when I put up the wards. Where I only allow in spirits that I’ve vetted (and that my guides have also vetted). That’s basically it. I don’t spend much time doing anything else other than bi weekly cleansing of my space. However, that’s mostly to keep my own “emotional junk” from building up. Rarely I will have a visitor that was vetted, that I do not like and will ask it to leave. They leave. It’s my home, my space, my rules.

    Spikes aren’t doing it? 🙁

Maybe I have an advantage here. Virgos are really good at setting limits. How firm is your “No”?
