    I’ve always had good intuition. Since I was a kid I’d have dreams that end up coming true later on, and even now I’ll think of someone I haven’t heard from in awhile and then they’ll call soon after. Things like that.

    I recently started really leaning into psychic development and I started taking a reputable online course that’s for beginners (though there are more advanced helpers in there too).

    We paired up to practice getting messages and my partner was able to accurately read for me. But when I tried to read for her, I was so nervous and I just got random images that didn’t resonate with her at all. I felt so lame.

    Afterward we all got back together as a group and most of the other beginners got feelings in their chest or they did a really good job but I just felt like I sucked. I put too much pressure on myself and I think I’m blocking myself.

    Any tips on how to ease up and let myself receive more accurate messages?

    It has been many years since i have worked at developing my abilities, if anything they are more of an annoyance, but i learned through the years that my first impressions of someone or something are usually the correct ones. I tend to think that people put thier energy out around them and the sixth sense is just our brain interpreting that energy. Do not second guess what you feel from someone or something, what you initially get from a feeling is what you should say if that person is receptive to hearing it.

    Dont get too stuck in the mind. Remember mind-body is absolutely vital. Body and heart is energetically much stronger than the mind is. So focus on letting your body rest, and that will give space for the mind to be clear.

    Please don’t give yourself a hard time, likely you spent much of your life around people telling you these things didn’t exist, or were coincidence or you were misremembering- that’s a lifetimes of external conditioning to overcome!

    First of all, take the pressure off yourself. You KNOW you can do this! You’ve experienced it, you’ve seen others do it, you know your truth and your reality. How others experience things is their reality not yours.

    Secondly, journaling is your best friend! Dreams, impressions, feelings, whatever they are, write them down. Keep yourself a private diary of these things, date them, put as much detail as you can and journal ANYTHING & EVERYTHING that you even slightly feel maybe intuition. Just make this a daily habit (even dated notes on a phone works!) and then you always have the record. You can look back and see irrefutably proof of what you knew and when. Not everything will be a hit, not everything will come to pass, but you’ll see plenty of stuff that will, and you’ll be able to discern patterns or feelings that you maybe wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. Looking back after sometime and seeing the proof will boost your confidence and belief on yourself, once you see that you’re right and you can do this, the doubts and other people negative influences will fall away. You’ll be holding your own proof.

    Practice often, learn to ignore the negative emotions that arise when you don’t follow your intuition, learn to identify how your intuition feels VS how your guessing feels, celebrate your success and if you feel stuck take a break and distract yourself before trying again.

    This is natural. Everyone goes through this to some degree, so you are not alone . The real trick is to identify what is outside information and what is your own thoughts. If in doubt, say nowt. When you get information or feelings, or images and colours you can interpret, speak up. Stay completely focused on that. Develop this as a habit. Whenever you are thinking, start looking instead, use a technique you have been taught. If you stray….don’t beat yourself up, that is you thinking negatively. When you do, try using your techniques instead. Practice practice practice. Eventually you stop thinking about yourself. In a reading, 100% of your attention is on the client. It’s not about you, so make a very clear intention when reading to help that person. There are many many ways of aiding your focus but these examples will get you there. Good luck and good fortune.
