A friend and I have a really strong connection and chemistry. When he gets very excited or open about his attraction he freaks out and pulls back.
I want to let go of attachment to outcome and pull my energy back to myself. Meet other people and not see him, and give him space to figure it out and advance.
In general as well, I sometimes find myself impatient and wanting to manage situations. How do I pull my energy back to myself so I am more receptive not chasing and focus on myself without repressing?

Hi, It is still fresh, give yourself some time, and be kind to yourself as you give him space.. You have been given some good techniques to use, I would add, breathing exercises, When you are aware of your thoughts drifting back to him, take a few deep breaths, it will bring you back to the present, and back to you… This gives yourself a chance to change the thoughts, or focus on something else…
