I’ve been looking into astrology for a few months and feel like I have some understanding of sun signs, rising signs, and houses. I am still struggling to understand how one’s moon sign shows up in life, personality. Where/how does the moon sign show up?

EDIT: wow, everyone! Thank you for all the knowledge you’ve shared with me! I really appreciate it and feel like I have a much better grasp of the moon’s influence. You all are a treasure!

I’m still learning as well. The moon represents “The Mother”, the feminine energy, the unconscious, and your feelings. My moon is in Leo which means I’m very generous to those I love.. I like to give a lot. I’m charming and use dramatics to make people laugh but sometimes I like being the center of attention while remaining a private person — my Scorpio rising lol.

Cafe Astrology is really helpful too with describing Placements. If you look up café Astrology birthchart, it helps explain your placements and the houses they’re in! 🙂

Your moon is your temperament. It’s your capacity to respond emotionally, to nurture and be nurtured. It shows your beliefs about family and your birth mother in this life. It’s how you react so it’s a good description of how you behave in general. The house in your natal chart is the area you came in choosing to focus on regarding emotional development and the sign shows the relevant karmic history.

In my opinion, moon signs are more important then sun signs. Many people identify with their moon signs more than their sun signs.

Sun = mind. Moon = body.

I’ve struggled with the moon as well (even though I understand a lot about the other planets as well – my moon is heavily aspected so it’s hard to differentiate it) and that’s the simplest understanding I’ve gotten. It’s pretty rough but it works.

Feel like the moon is kind of just how you act when you’re at home and your guard is down. Such as with your family, spouse, or close friends.

Im an Aries moon conjunct my Saturn in the 9h so my moon sign has a hard time coming out naturally. I don’t express much real emotion. I have a hard time starting new things, I lack confidence in my creative ability and as an Aries moon not knowing how to express their emotions, I can lose my temper or just blow things out of proportion sometimes.

As a Virgo moon (conjunct Saturn), I am emotionally reserved. My reaction is to be conservative and restrained.

Everywhere for me. My moon is in Aries and every Aries stereotype describes me more than my own sign stereotypes

I hate having moon in the 12th because I don’t understand my moon sign at all. I always feel like an outcast and it sucks

Moon SignsThe Moon represents a lot of impressionist aspects and therefore the inner feelings and emotions depiction from at intervals. It indicates however we tend to categorical our nurturing instinct and therefore the kind of immediate emotional-feeling response to experiences…[To know more…](https://abhishekastro.com/)
