I started out taking the forms in which I saw spirits very seriously. White means x, blue eyes mean y, is it human, an animal, or something else?
However, the more I learn, the more I realize these don’t matter. I’m seeing things through the lens of my own psychology- and spirits can change forms.
When I astral project, I shape shift into an animal. Why can’t a spirit do the same?
I’m fortunate enough to have another psychic in the house, though she’s much more skeptical than I am. Because of this, I don’t share “wuwu” information with my partner as often. When we don’t communicate things and somehow come to the same conclusion or find similar elements in a situation, it grabs my attention.
Example one of how perceptions differ between psychics:
We both had gotten over a spiritual attachment. Being atheist most of her life, she had seen this spirit since childhood when she lived with this relative, but always thought it was just nightmares. It wasn’t until I had a sort of awakening that we started to realize this thing was not just affecting her, but me, her relative, and my other metaphysical friends at the time that I had done readings for that she realized that it was a spirit.
I explored astral projection and saw cobwebs in the house. This thing took many forms and would often take different forms at the same time.
When my partner lucid dreamed and revisited the house, she also saw cobwebs. Having much clearer sight in her dream, she was able to see this spirit bleeding through reality like coffee through a napkin. She said it was like liquefied corpses. The cobwebs were it’s consciousness spread through the whole house, settling mainly in places of high foot traffic.Example two: we were both in an antique shop when I noticed the essence of pure malice in the doll section (of course lmao). I didn’t look that hard at it. I was cloaked and knew if I focused hard enough, it would be aware of me.
My partner later told me she felt something was wrong with the whole building. I told her it was near the dolls, which she said that was the point in the store where she felt like something evil was there. She is also good at hiding herself. It didn’t bother us.Example three: this is special because I had a reading done, so there are three psychics involved.
I went through a period of time where I had a curse or significant spiritual injury on myself that I could see. I noticed that my aura reminded me of an onion with many layers and how the damage was through out… This attracted a few spirit’s attention when I was out doing my job, one of which made me think of roots right away. It felt warm and fuzzy, but I eventually realized it was up to no good. I had to go back several times for work where it would try to gain my attention. Elements of fire came to mind with this spirit as well, but mostly roots as if it fed off of rot and decay.
The medium who read me picked up on the curse right away as my guide was telling her about it. She said she saw me chopping onions, which was a very significant detail to me and random to her. She said that the curse attracted a spirit and to be careful about going back to that location. It appeared as a harmless old man at first, but my guide shielded both of us during the reading.
Much later on, my partner shared with me that she had a dream where I was very sick, which attracted a blue somewhat humanoid-looking spirit without a face. It was eating my time away. She attacked it in the dream and it threw fire at her.
I did not tell the medium about the curse or other spirit as the reading was to talk to my guide, but my guide brought these details up during the reading. As the subject of a curse and naughty fae are pretty outthere I didn’t tell my partner about it until she told me her dream.These are some interesting examples on how psychics can differ in perception that I’ve learned. Feel free to share your experiences!
I hope not to alarm anyone with the last one, but I have since healed and gotten assistance with the curse. I have not olny banished the fae “eating my time”, but ripped that energy back from it. It is not only banished from me, but from those woods as well.
