How to Induce a Trance State? How does it Trigger?

So the question was, whats the key components into inducing a trance state to imprint or change something in the subconscious? Essentially what are the queues/conditions that trigger a trance state, how does it deepen and how to act while in it (for modifying the contents of the subconscious)?
